Mr. Bloomberg spent more than $100 million helping Democrats take control of the House of Representatives in the midterm elections. Of the 21 newly elected lawmakers he supported with his personal super PAC, all but six were women.
He’s donated $6M to Emily’s List, look it up if you haven’t heard of them. He’s given a total of $2.5B to charities of all kinds over year including WHO and Johns Hopkins University as well as to the Sierra Club.
There’s something very wrong with this behavior, and he must stop immediately and begin to take 200+ golf trips a year on the government’s dime.
@sickneffintired To your suggestion He could be helping Dems with that money He already is.
@joriepHe’d have to give the money to a PAC or the party and he could run as many anti-Trump ads as he wants. And I hope he does, whoever the candidate turns out to be.
I’ll keep posting this until somebody reads it

In many ways trans rights does in fact hurt Dem election chances with Independent / Right America … it sucks … it’s changing, slowly … and it’s not like the Trans vote puts Dems over the top. It’s a very small number of voters. But if Dems don’t fight for it no one will … we just have to take the hit and deal with it because it’s what is right. GOP gives 2 shits about what is right, about truth. We’re bringing a rubber knife to a gun fight.
My favorite candidate dropped out. Sure, i’m disappointed, but when i look at the remaining pool of candidates, i find myself believing that i can live with, and even support almost all of them. In that sense, it’s the Anyone but T rumpp syndrome. I caucused for Bernie in '16, but he lost my support big time. I chose to caucus for Bernie back then not because i genuinly thought that he was better than HRC (he clearly isn’t, IMO), but because i hoped that some of his policies would rub off onto HRC, and she’d thus gain the support of his followers in the general. Moving on to Biden, what’s his platform? I honestly don’t know much about why he’s running other than to get rid of T rumpp. In that sense, he has my support. I also think, GOP antics aside, that he’d be the most stable POTUS politically in the post-t rumpp world. However, hoping to put nefarious GOP antics aside is folly. Still, i’d vote for him, anyway. The same sentiment goes for Klobuchar, and Buttigieg. Warren too, for that matter. They’re not my favorites, but i sure as hell will vote blue, no matter who. But, that leaves Bloomberg. I honestly get the sense from him that he’d be a flopping fish out of water if he hadn’t bought the entire fucking ocean to call his own. He is the least credible Dem candidate remaining, but yet, he’s still better than T rumpp. If push comes to shove, yeah, sure, i’ll vote for him, but i’ll cringe while doing so. All of this is a very long-winded way of saying that simply put, Dems have much higher standards for who we choose to be our representatives and elected officials than do Republicans. When you lower your standards far enough, finding the right candidates is easy. Dems have trouble settling on any candidates because our standards are almost impossible to achieve. And we beat ourselves up for it because we (the media) think it makes us look bad and indecisive. That’s complete bullshit! We care about our future, and want to elect a President who will be the best possible option for the future of our country. I cannot fathom what Republicans see in the Dotard, other than the end of our Republic.
Bernie is currently 1 percent ahead of Trump in the critical states which is not a comfortable margin. He’s won pluralities in the first two states that don’t exceed 30 percent. The money he’s raising pales besides the money Trump is raising so Bernie would need money from B’berg. Do you think he would take it if it were offered?
Bernie trots around the country bashing Dems and you wonder why people feel he is trying to steal the nomination?
I’m sure he’s said a lot of things he probably should not have said. I DON"T CARE! Now that he’s running for president he can re-evauate past positions and even do a complete 360 on some of them. I’m OK with that. If he can beat Bonespurs that’s all I care about. I’ll take it, warts and all.
Why the hell isn’t Warren included in that polling? I mean, come on already, she’s still running, she’s polling third in a lot of polls now, and she’s itching to tear Bloomberg apart on stage tomorrow night. Leaving her off a poll like that is unconscionable…maybe the media really is trying to erase her.
John Adams, the first vice president of this country, to whom Washington gave no responsibilities, called the vice presidency “the most insignificant office that ever the invention of man contrived or his imagination conceived.”
Truman’s VP, ol’ what’s his name, called the vice presidency as important “as bucket full of warm piss.”
They didn’t anticipate a Veep who had to educate a prez.
Well, many people are “passionate” about Trump too. If all we go on is passion, how can we tell the difference between what is right and wrong, good and bad, truth and lie.
“The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.”
I’ve been saying this for a while…the Republicans are trying to get the Democrats to select the candidate they think they can win best against. They have actually said good things about Bernie, including Trump tweets supporting him. They took Biden out because he was such a popular candidate; don’t think that some amount of his fall is not due to the Ukraine nonsense. They have gone after Warren hard. They are hitting Bloomberg now; I’m convinced a lot of the stuff coming out now is being sent to the press by Republicans, because they fear his war chest making a difference. Klobuchar was not a factor, and she may still not be, so she’s been ignored; same for Steyer. Pete has had a few slurs sent his way but otherwise he hasn’t really been touched.
So, the Republicans want Bernie as the opposing candidate…and, with all of the oppo research out there they will shred him easily (and it’s unlikely that he can brush it off), and Trump always wins the old man yelling contest. They think Pete will be weak, an inexperienced gay man with racial issues in his past isn’t a strong candidate to bring people out to vote. They are ecstatic that the Democrats look to be selecting one of their favored candidates…keep that in mind going forward.
Sanders is NOT STEALING the damn nomination. He is campaigning in the same way everyone else is, except B-berg, who is spending his own fortune on ads. FFS. People like Bernie - I get that you don’t. Then don’t vote for him. If you like oligarchs, vote for B-berg. k I understand people want a SURE WINNER and they want to beat Dump in the worst way, but using a billionaire sorta-racist, sorta-Republican to do it really is the worst way.
