Blackburn Is Down With Cruz’s Electoral College Scheme. But Not Trump’s GA Bullying. | Talking Points Memo

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), who publicly backed Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) pressure campaign to delegitimize President-elect Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory, somehow couldn’t get behind President Trump’s attempt at bullying Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger into overturning election results, during an appearance on “Fox and Friends” Monday morning.

Marsha, Marsha, Marsha…

Not only was it not a helpful call, may I be so bold as to suggest that it was an unhelpful call?

I am at least heartened by the acknowledgement of the phone call and the damage it’s done. I would have wholeheartedly expected a complete denial of anything that transpired in that call, having it called a ‘witch hunt’.

I know someone tried to say the call was illegally taped, but at least that’s been swatted down.

In the meantime, is the call now a bridge too far for Blackburn? Is she apparently safe from any electoral repercussions in the near term? Can we expect others to join this side of the discussion?

Marsha, you can’t preach temperance from a bar stool.

What other crimes does she find “not helpful”? Dismembering Kashoggi?
ISIS beheadings? Killing 200,000 Americans because lying about masks/freedumbs? Plots to kidnap and assassinate governors? Plowed Boys threatening to shoot up streetfuls of people and taking over govt. buildings?

Blackburn also suggested that Pearl Harbor was a touch problematic, and that the coronavirus was an issue worth considering for further study.

She is SUCH a horrible person…she ‘thinks’ attaching her wagon to the ‘crazies’ will keep them in her camp in Tennessee but deliberately breaking the law is too much?

It’s really something when you reflect on the fact that Marsha Blackburn is only about the fifth or sixth dumbest United States Senator.

I’ve got Ron Johnson, Tommy Tuberville, Joni Ernst, and John Kennedy ahead of her, and I estimate she’s pretty much tied with Cindy Hyde-Smith.

Blackburn insisted that putting the onus on state legislatures and elected officials…

You misspelled “anus.” Blackburn is referring to siccing Ted Cruz on the state legislatures and elected officials.

They’re only concerned about the publicity around it, since their plan for Wednesday is to do exactly what trump asked for in his perfect phone call, to have some politicians decide to flip the electoral votes from Biden to him.

Marsha Blackburn supports sedition, treason, and eliminating freedom, but it must be done as politely and privately as possible.

Not only may you be so bold, but you have already been so bold.

Jeez, Marsha…“The call is not helpful” How insightful and on the nose.

”Blackburn admitted that Trump’s attempt to strongarm Raffensperger into overturning the results was “not a helpful call’.”

She later described the 9/11 attacks as “somewhat irksome”.

Hurricane Katrina as “a bother”.

And the Holocaust as “inconvenient”.

I don’t think of Louisiana’s senator as being “dumb.” I see him as thoroughly cynical.

The others on your list we can let slide!
