These are excellent media buys and the ads are well thought out and strategic. Good planning.
@bonvivant I get your point, but I think the ad is predominately aimed at people who didn’t watch the convention so it will less repetitive to them than it is to you and me.
The Biden campaign is actually outspending them on media now. I think by a significant amount. The word double comes to my mind, but I’d have to check.
More like my brother died alone in a hospital without most of his family. But I did see a good movie that night.
Someone else on the other side might bring this up in a way that’s a lot meaner. And it may or may not hurt him at a critical time. I’m just saying enough already with the car accident. Beau was more recent and even then he has overdone that. There has to be more to Joe than …I suffered losses. It humanizes him,but it does nothing to demonstrate his ability for leadership.
You may be tired of hearing about it, but I thank God that what he had to endure is not a part of my biography.
As far as I’m concerned, for what he had to endure, he can say whatever he wants. And it made him into the man he is. Without knowing that about Biden, you can’t know the man.
Not to mention, it provides a sharp contrast to Trump.
I can’t imagine the agony you feel when you think of Joe Biden mourning the loss of his family members. It must be terrible. I’m sorry for your discomfort.
Biden and the Dems need to recall the 2018 elections, and keep healthcare front and center. Trump and the Republicans fought to take away health care, voting how many times to revoke the Affordable Care Act?. Trump kept no promises about health care. Without the Affordable Care Act, many people with coronovirus wold be broke today.
I am genuinely puzzled. From the entirety of that lovely ad, this was your takeaway? I’m guessing it triggered something else for you that needs attending to, maybe.
Most people don’t mourn their personal losses in a political ad or in a campaign speech.
You would have to have lived under a rock for the past five years not to have heard this story over and over.
Joe covered this ground just last week in depth. There is such a thing as overdoing something.
Yeah, and remember that, according to ex-DHS employee Miles Taylor, who is currently speaking out and endorsing Biden, the Asshole in Chief (sick and stupid motherfucker that he is) wanted to shoot migrants (including women and children) at the border, put sharpened spikes on the vanity wall that could pierce and maim flesh, and put a moat around the border wall and fill it with alligators and snakes.
I’m guessing that you don’t have children. For most parents, what Biden has gone through with the loss of 2 children is unthinkable. I can’t imagine any parent thinking that the loss of family in any other situation could be any greater loss than the loss of a child. Yet he still has faith and confidence in the American spirit to endure, to persist, and ultimately, to thrive. That’s a message for this unique time, and Biden’s background suggests that it is the Gods who have put him in the position to lead us out of our current nightmare.
