Biden Will Rip Trump For Having ‘Forfeited Any Moral Leadership’ | Talking Points Memo

And like Hitler he is using a 17 year old to do the shooting.
Does Trump fear the end is near and he will recruit anyone at any age to further his agenda?

“Rip” is only a 3 letter word. Easier for twittering. Fewer characters.

Joe, have Kamala rip into him and if you mention him at all, use the words 'incompetent ’ and ‘weak.’

They drive him insane with fury and he’ll make an even worse mistake for Kamala to hit him with.

Tell us what YOU’RE going to do. Don’t let HIM do it.

Yes, his base loves the stuff we hate. But there are more of us, who hate the stuff we hate. There are reliable numbers that show it’s been leaching away support even among people who voted for him in '16. Not a collapse in that hard base of support, but states are in play we would never have hoped for back then. Biden’s support is much stronger than Hillary’s. If he figures out a way to connect with people left behind in a post-industrial world, I think the race is over. Biden has persuaded me that he’s found his groove. Read Josh’s piece out front about the endemic fears of the Democrats. It’s cloudy here too but I don’t feel bleak.

“Eviscerates” had a longer run than it should have.

I have a slight preference for “disembowels” over “eviscerates”.

I don’t exactly feel bleak but I do wake up every morning wondering if the other shoe is going to drop. I want it to be November already. Or at the least October already, with a juicy surprise for the freak.

Then after that, I want to see 2020 over. What a nasty year, despite how lovely and symmetrical the visual of those numbers is in print.

So now hospitals are being told they’ll be distribution sites for the COVID-19 vaccination roll out for Nov and to start planning soon… I can’t even describe how worrisome this is.

Ruskie vaccine here we come.

Somewhat related - the results of the Military Times latest poll of active duty service members.

If the election was held today, who would they vote for:

Biden: 43.1%
trump: 37.4%
other: 12.8%
Not voting at all: 9%

49.9% say they have an unfavorable view of trump. The combination of people with very favorable and favorable virus of trump adds up to 37.8% - almost identical to the number of service members willing to vote for trump.

About 40 percent of troops surveyed identified as Republican or Libertarian, 16 percent Democrats, and 44 percent independent or another party.

This poll was taken in late July and early August.

OT but I have to say I love it when Trump says someone was “fired like a dog.” It’s just not a thing that happens much to dogs. Trump seems to think there’s something that’s fundamentally humiliating and shameful about being a dog, but most of the dogs I’ve ever seen seem to feel pretty good about themselves most of the time.
