I am sick of kids getting killed , people of color being killed, the second anniversary of George Floyd being killed, the 30th school shooting of 2022.

However, thanks to the leadership of the congressional GOP, including myself, on the issue of guns and mass murder, every parent, child, teacher worries every day that it’s not safe to go to school. Or to the grocery store. Or to the movies. Or to a nightclub. Or to work. Or to church. And I make a solemn promise this day, that the GOP will not stop until you have to fear being shot dead by a stranger in every single place in this great nation.
