Just another award that won’t be fair the DJT. He’s falling into Rodney Dangerfield’s territory.

I’m really glad Biden has included the election workers. They were heroes anyway, and now that TFG has resurrected his racist attacks on them, they need to be honored more than ever.

Actually I think he has been there for years.

Why aren’t they getting the Presidential Medal of Honor? It comes with perks.

Medal of Honor recipients receive a $1,406.73 monthly pension with annual cost-of-living increases in line with the Social Security Administration’s increases . This comes on top of any disability or retirement pay. Enlisted military retirees who receive the medal also get a 10% increase in retirement pay.

If nothing else it would help explode that many more Rethugliklan (shit)heads.

[Updated] BTW Qevin is now on track to bat batting 0-8. LOL

OT

What I’d really like to see Dems do in this next round of Speaker votes is for only one of them vote for Jeffries and the rest vote for Qevin only to switch their votes to Jeffries during the last minute of voting, then hold up Peanuts cartoons of Lucy holding a football as the votes are tallied.

I suggest this only because I’d like to see Qevin’s abject humiliation reach entertaining new heights.

Hmm. It just occurred to me. When is a Dem going to nominate Santos, if only to get a screen shot of him garnering zero votes?

First we had a FGP, and now this indignity of all indignities.

On the one hand I am genuinely glad these citizens are being formally recognized at the highest level but I am far from glad that they need to be.

I’m glad he’s recognizing Jocelyn Benson. She has been a stalwart defender of electoral integrity, transparency and accessibility here in Michigan.

The awards will go to twelve people who either tried to protect the Capitol complex during the attack or fended off pressure to overturn the 2020 election results at the state and local level.

THESE are patriots, Republicans.

Some may actually be members.

Also comes with the opportunity to highlight his history: Normandy, Endola Gay, climbing the Berlin Wall, saving Raygun from Squeaky From, and there is so much more.

I think you meant Squeaky Fromme, one of the architects of Reagan’s SDI, a boondoggle realized mostly thanks to Squeaky’s paranormal communications with First Lady Nancy via Joan Quigley.

Soothsaying saints all!

ETA I’m lying.

Biden’s speech hopefully drops a subtle.

“Here we are another Jan 6th, another Republican
Coordinated blocking of a transition of power, to themselves, no less, we again have an unauthorized person in the speakers office, rumor has it Matt Gaetz is spreading shit on the walls…”

Ok maybe not so subtle…

So … TODAY is the day that Dump is finally charged with insurrection, right? I wake up every day hoping. And hoping. And waiting. And waiting. And waiting. And waiting.

The White House announced on Thursday that President Joe Biden will give several individuals who defended democracy after the 2020 election the Presidential Citizens Medal to mark the second anniversary of the January 6th attack on the Capitol.

No doubt if the insurrection had succeeded and Dump had remained in office, he’d now be handing out medals like party favors to the insurrectionists.
