President-elect Joe Biden rebuked President Trump on Wednesday for standing in the way of his formal transition, especially because the sitting president’s refusal to concede will put the distribution of a COVID-19 vaccine during the Biden administration “behind by weeks or months.”

My local Walgreen’s Pharmacy has more “trainee” staff behind the counter than regular staff. Biden will have an army of volunteers to organize.

I do not understand why the Biden folks don’t petition the federal court to require the GSA to fulfill its legal responsibilities under statute, i.e., to initiate the transition process? Are they waiting for states to “certify” his win (even though the statute doesn’t require that level of proof of the election to trigger the transition)? Seems to me, if the court rules that the GSA MUST comply with the law, and they don’t, then the head of the GSA will be in contempt of court and can be hauled into court on that charge.
Local television stations–not national–need to start asking their GOP Senators if they can articulate the harm of working with the Biden team, and then they need to ask if they can articulate the harm of refusing to work with Biden. If Trump finds a way to stay in office (and I don’t think he can) no harm will have been done. Having national media report this doesn’t make the same impact of a local station reporting a story about a Senator that has been elected from a particular state.
Yeah I wish they would now. People are dying and this is ridiculous. The legal avenues have all been explored and shut down so now would not be precipitate but prudent.
I hope Team Biden bangs this drum as loudly as possible until these people comply. Even afterwards it needs to be made clear that they further slowed the response and that people will still die needlessly because of Trump. It needs to be fully understood that more people will die because of Trump’s bruised ego.

Remember when Reagan used to “to go to the American people”? There was always a big outpouring of phone calls and letters to senators and congresspeople, and it often actually worked. Some of those voters from COVID ravaged states need to raise their mighty voices.
The present man in the oval office does not care about the American people. He does not care about anything but himself. He claims he is not a loser and he has kept all his campaign promises.
If we can do it the right way, we bang on this from now on until everybody pretty much sees them for the nihilists they are. And they become anathema, the way they have manipulated our image.
