Wow! Competent scientists teamed up with a crack and highly qualified administrator. Thank God Biden won and we can again have a competent government that seeks to save lives from COVID.

“Jeff isn’t a health care guru, and he’s the first to say that, but he’s a manager and a trusted player without an agenda other than outcomes. He has all the attributes you need to manage this across the board — a rare skill set in Washington.”

This is going to burn Jared so bad if Jeff can deliver what Jared couldn’t do.   :joy:

And Trump still can’t figure out how Joe Biden got 81 million votes.

One has to wonder what we would be faced with if trump had won. Would he have kept “Dr.” Atlas in place? Would his scorched earth policy have continued? Would he have fucked up the vaccine as much as the next thing he does?

It’s bad enough that we have to wait another 47 days, 18 hours and 17 minutes.

And no billionaires in sight. That’s kind of nice too.

Donnie’ll never figure it out: he’s daft.
I doubt he really sees the world from outside of the way in which he operates, except in terms of the threat from law enforcement.

We have been so divorced from a normal Executive Branch that these kinds of important no-brainer decisions like tapping good competent people seem so amazing and consequential right now.

Vivek Murthy was posed to be a great Surgeon General and then was fired by IT because he is Indian-American. I like that Biden wants to make the SG an influential post again. That has not been the case since Koop.

I really liked him when he was S.G. before. He did very well by the Public Health Service.
