Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), who sits on the Biden campaign’s Latino Leadership Committee, on Tuesday anticipated Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden hitting President Donald Trump on his bungled response to COVID-19 during the debate on Tuesday night.
Even from the most aggressive media folks, nobody’s yet told Trump to his face that he completely blew off his most important job because he was terrified of hurting the stock market and thought it would all just work out somehow. He knows his response well enough, he’s said maybe literally a thousand times that he did a good job and if he hadn’t implemented his non-ban “ban” millions would have died. But with a tough guy like Biden telling him that in his face repeatedly and angrily on our behalf, he might get mad like he does at the press conferences but without the option of running away.
Wonderful, just stay calm and measured, Joe, and Donnie will just implode.

I’ve tried to avoid suggesting Biden do this or that or use some zinger I thought up. But it would be interesting to hear Trump’s views on the armed clashes between the Azerbaijanis and Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh. I’m sure he’ll say they’re “looking very strongly” at the situation. I’m equally sure Biden knows that and most other conflicts in the world backwards and forwards and could humiliate him with it.
But It would also likely say that things are worse in Chicago.

The difference between Biden and Trump.
We all know that Trump is ignorant and that Biden and Obama were just about interchangeable from 2009-2017.
Trump will be able to start answers but he will not be able to competently finish them. Sometimes the “can’t finish” part will come after a couple of sentences…sometimes a couple of words…
I honestly think Biden’s best strategy is to engage Chris Wallace and the TV audience for as much of the 90 minutes he can grab to talk about his strategies for tackling COVID-19, economic recovery, ethics in government, climate change, reform of the tax code which creates much income inequality, (ie. carried interest, real estate depreciation, etc.), community policing and climate change.
Engaging Trump might feel good, but it does little to gain Biden more votes. The debates, particularly this one, are a great window for Biden to sell himself and his program to an audience who is dying for adult leadership. He should simply stiff-arm Trump whenever necessary to grab the microphone but ignor Trumps idiocy, because talking to Trump is a complete waste of time.
As he showed in the last Sander’s debate and at the Democratic Convention, Joe Biden is very capable of dong this. Let Kamala Harris press the prosecution of the Trump Administration against a hapless lap dog like Pence.
