‘What In God’s Name Are We Doing?’

Great question!

But it’s not WE who are doing ginning up conspiracy theories.

Say…

Have you heard that ANTIFA has stolen the Spruce Goose from the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum in McMinnville, Orygun?

Yes…the fiends are planning to use it to bomb White Nationalists with bran muffins, kale and Taylor Swift videos on their next venture into Portland! :astonished: :scream:

Not many people know this ®

“Anybody found that plane?” Biden asked.

YES

Alarming…
Republicans believe that the QAnon theory is partially or mostly true = 56% now, it has increased from 46% one year ago.

Donald Trump in 2016: “The world is laughing at us.”

In retrospect I guess that was actually a campaign promise, and one he managed to fulfill.

I love it. I wish the press would ask the idiot in the white house about what those Hawaiian investigators of his found, too.

Everyone is now smarter for having listened to Biden’s answer.

Fatsolini described the flight as going from “Washington to wherever” so it may never land with its toxic load and those onboard will get into Donner Party survival mode.

Is this what you have in mind as a topic for the press blather?

The U.S. death toll from the coronavirus pandemic could reach more than 410,000 by the end of the year — an increase of 225,000 lives lost, according to the latest forecast from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington. “Because of seasonality and declining vigilance of the public,” the researchers projected U.S. deaths will reach nearly 3,000 a day in December, and without further government intervention, the toll could rise to 620,000 by Jan. 1. Increased mask use has the potential, however, to hold the cumulative death toll at 288,000 by year’s end, the forecast said.

He’s got a good turn of phrase when he’s angry. Good business with a bully.

Mark Esper’s Statement (It’s not a denial and he was there in France in 2018.). Also all presidents press for more military pay and funding — it’s de rigueur.

“President Trump has the highest respect and admiration for our nation’s military members, veterans and families. That is why he has fought for greater pay and more funding for our armed forces,”

IMO, calling Trump out on all of his vile nuttiness is just exactly what Biden should be doing. Creating a media narrative that Trump is either insane or is completely in thrall to insane people is good campaign strategy at this point*. Let Trump defend himself from that charge.
(I’ll take butter on my popcorn)

*And as a lawyer once pointed out to me, the argument “has the advantage of being true”.

A “non-denial denial” dates back to Watergate, according to the film, anyway, and it’ll never go out of style

This on the record thing is so bogus. Sarah Huckasans on the record has zero probative value, as they say, and more than anything else this rings true and that really stops the discussion 99 percent of the time.

Yup and state mask mandates and mask use, with a few exceptions, is very highly dependent on the governor’s political persuasion.

It’s embarrassing, cringe-inducing, unbecoming of, appalling______(insert your favorite pejorative adjective) and utterly beneath the dignity of a world power. These creatures have sprung to life off the pages of Richard Hofstadter’s Paranoid Style…I’m glad to hear Joe react with real indignation.

The good news: A lot more people are talking about how crazy Trump and many of his followers are.

Bad News: It has taken 4 years to hit a lot of the country.

I blame a large part of the media for their insistence on interpreting for Trump and excusing his outlandish comments as part of his style and not a product of a demented mind.
