Biden Says It’s ‘Hard To Envision’ Democratic Convention Not Being Postponed

2020 Democratic candidate Joe Biden indicated late Tuesday that he isn’t feeling optimistic about the 2020 Democratic National Convention keeping its mid-July timetable amid the coronavirus pandemic.

After all the primaries have happened, let’s skip the convention and move up Election Day. I suggest the second Tuesday in May. Or, next Tuesday

More time for Sanders to court delegates

Joe is bound by regard for public welfare… That tempers his remarks.

Actually I’m kind of hoping that the GOP holds its convention and moves it up a few months, if you know what I’m getting at. Drastic situations call for drastic measures and it’s time for Darwin to do his thing. And you just know that Fake President Bigly is just itching for some of that (death) cultish love.

For the GOPPERS to even use some safety protocols, they are so hatefully spiteful of anything suggested by Democrats, that it would be like pulling hens’ teeth.

That’s gonna hurt 'em, Convention or not.

Any decision on the time and manner of a convention really has to follow what science says is necessary. Any projection –and I mean any– of some absolute date in the future is pure folly. To name a date now would be just as silly as Trump’s declared desire to have churches packed on Easter.

Screw the pageantry and the balloon drop. Both parties need to lay the groundwork for a digital primary platform.

To quote Lincoln:

The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew.

Pull away the ideology and what you have is psychology. Most of them are deeply flawed human beings nursing all sorts of psychic wounds or possessing inborn psychological disorders like narcissism, sadism or sociopathology, and their ideology is fundamentally informed and motivated by their psychological issues. They are Repubs because they’re psychologically messed-up. They’re motivated by hatred, resentment, fear and confusion, not by any positive vision or aspiration. And this should be recognized and exploited by us, and Dems. Play to this weakness of theirs.

I would encourage Republicans to go ahead with their convention.

OK - not really because in a public health emergency stupid people kill people. EXHIBIT: Trump

Its only going to get worse for him as the numbers increase and the stalk difference between the US and most other nations widens.

That’s because there are fewer trump demographic folks around this week than last week…

I’m certain Trump will demand the Republican Convention go forward. He’d like nothing more than to have a few thousand people pay him tribute. It’s whether or not the two sane people in that Party can talk him down.

Think of the hookers, especially with the Republican Convention.

Hadn’t thought of them as part of the pageantry or the balloon drop.

Just goes to show you how little I know!
