Biden Says He’s Open To Choosing A GOP Running Mate: ‘I’m Serious’

“You know, there are some really decent Republicans that are out there still,” Biden said.

A decent human being is not going to vote for Donald Trump - You don’t have to compromise anything to win over a decent human being, but you do have to appeal to common decency.

Thus putting the presidency one heartbeat away from returning to Republican hands!??!

A president needs better judgement & foresight.

This is Biden’s answer to Trump’s “good people on both sides” moment. Hopefully Joe will NOT be the nominee, therefore freeing him from having to go on the hunt for the mythical “reasonable and responsible” Republican.

This is not a gaffe. This is Biden’s default mode. But then there will be the white male chatterati on TPM lecturing us on how we should support the nominee no matter what.

He didn’t say he was going to do it.
He put enough qualifiers in the statement—ham-handed though it was—to insulate himself from any actual choice.

What he was getting at isn’t wrong.
He just stated it poorly—as is his unfortunate habit.

Joe is older than I am, but I, too, can remember when there were all kinds of decent Republicans running around loose.

Lol. Happy New Year. And yes, you are wrong as usual.

Thanks for admitting that you prefer 4 more years of Trump.

I beg your pardon. The notion that a second Trump term would be an existential crisis for this nation is not limited to white males.

This is a perfect example of his worst attribute, which is engaging his mouth before his brain is fully in gear, and then doubling down because he can’t admit a mistake.

And of course the bullshit “comity” thing, which nobody wants to hear in a primary. Save it for the general election if you can make it that far, Joe.

Eisenhower at least had the decency to warn us about the military industrial complex, and uphold the law in Little Rock, for example.

You know we can hear you.

That’s why I posted it, Snookums.

Can you name a single, national-level republican that most would consider “decent”? Can you name one that anybody would consider decent? Just one? Now remember, keeping quiet while trump commits treason disqualifies…
Yeah. Me neither. I cannot think of a single republican decent enough to be Vice President. Not one.

We all should have dreams. What a man he was!

Joe Biden has learned absolutely nothing during the last 20 years. He’s going to lose Iowa, lose New Hampshire, run out of money, lose Nevada, and lose South Carolina before dropping out.

ETA: Joe Biden definitely thinks that appointing a Republican to be Secretary of Defense is the best way to show his bipartisanship and willingness to work across the aisle.

I can name quite a few Republicans that aren’t going to vote for Donald Trump. I find their company more interesting than readers of naturalnews.com.

Why didn’t he just commit to a GOP Secretary of Defense? That’s a long-standing, and apparently noncontroversial, tradition.

Re-read my comment.
I was referring to the past, back when Joe and I were much younger—a week or two after the invention of the wheel.

Joe was being Joe—showing that he is always open to dealing with the GOP, if they behave decently, which we know they are not going to do. Joe knows it too.
