My Republican opponent says that he’s opposed to all the things he calls “socialist.” What that means, of course, is that he wants to abolish Social Security. And Medicare. And public schools. And public highways. And the air traffic control system. By his definition, these are all “socialist” programs. Is that what you want?
He wants to take credit for that vaccine then it should be made very apparent that he is holding it up now in general, not just for New York.
Someone needs to put out the numbers of dead he’s responsible for. I wish he would be tried for his deliberate negligence.

Maybe it’s time Fauci used his public platform to state that the COVID response will be under control of President Biden in January, and every health authority should be talking to Biden now that he’s been, y’know, ELECTED PRESIDENT. What possible reason does he have to coddle that monster when it’s beyond clear he’s not going to do a thing about the ongoing dangerous level of the pandemic? Someone once posted a detail that’s unfortunately bearing out: no matter what the outcome of the election, Donald Trump was going to stop caring about COVID on November 4th.
It’s probably obvious to sophisticated people that having the existing administration talking with the incoming one, especially about a crisis like this, is a good thing. But in any interview there are a number of points you want the interviewee to explicitly hit, even if they’re obvious, so it’s there in the record. I’m sure there are millions of people who’ve never much thought about whether or why it’s a good thing.
Trump’s mishandling of the whole COVID-19 pandemic has already cost us tens of thousands of lives. Why should anyone think he cares?
