President-elect Joe Biden’s incoming White House chief of staff Ron Klain and transition team senior adviser Jen Psaki on Sunday alerted the public to keep its eyes peeled for an announcement this week from Biden on his cabinet picks amid President Trump’s refusal to concede, which has held up the President-elect’s formal transition process.
I foresee a day in the not too distant future (next couple of weeks, maybe) when Trump is unable to get any attention at all regardless of how crazy his antics are. That will be something to look forward to indeed.
Biden staffers plan to break from tradition by publicly announcing the President-elect’s nominees before officially putting them before the Senate.
May I assume this is a clap back at McConnell?
You know, Thanksgiving is on Thursday and I can assure you that President-Elect Biden will be with his family on that day as we all will be,” Psaki said.
I don’t think this is a shot at Trump because Biden’s people aren’t the type, but one can be forgiven for thinking so.
What would they review? I’ve been checking out the right wing blogs (I’ve got a strong stomach) and they seem elated with this 11th dimensional chess move by trump’s legal team to get this to SCOTUS. But my understanding is that it is at the trial court level where evidence is presented and that has been done. They haven’t presented any. SCOTUS is not where you all of a sudden pull a rabbit out of your hat. That ship has sailed.
Obviously they think SCOTUS has become so corrupt and overtly politicized that they expect them to overturn all precedent, case law, legal theories to give them their preferred outcome.
Agreed on the trust, but it’s a good sign that they’re even signaling that they won’t go along with McConnell’s scheme. Also, Sen. Cramer said today that it is past time to begin the transition. Although he did play the “we don’t know who won yet” game, I still see it as an encouraging sign that a ruby red state senator spoke out on this.
Psaki…first pointed out that Biden and VP-elect Kamala Harris were elected “by a coalition of people across the country,” which include progressive and moderate Democrats as well as Republicans.
More Comeys? smdh. Will Dems. never learn? There are no good Republicans. Not one. None. Zero. Zilch. No one with any integrity would remain part of that traitorous gang of Putin puppets who are actively undermining our democracy. How many knocks in the head will it take for Dems. to learn. Seriously. I’m asking because I have no answers.
What a fucking asshole! “This was the first guy to run a successful campaign from a basement without actually going out and intermingling with people.” Yeah, Devin, that’s because we’re in a fucking deadly pandemic that you and your Republican colleagues refused to address, refused to try to mitigate the damage. And what does it say about your guy that he lost to the guy who ran his campaign from a basement?
“There are no good Republicans. Not one. None. Zero. Zilch. No one with any integrity would remain part of that traitorous gang of Putin puppets who are actively undermining our democracy. How many knocks in the head will it take for Dems. to learn. Seriously. I’m asking because I have no answers.”
The saying ‘Keep your enemies closer’ is now in play
Maybe Devin’s subtle point is that Trump didn’t get enough of a surge to overtake Biden b/c he killed too many of his own supporters by doing too many super spreader rallies.
