This may be a wonderful " big squeeze " being applied to Mitch … all with a wide smile.
Minute by minute … this refusal to recognize Biden gets more absurd and stupid … and costs Mitch credibility … but he doesn’t want to trigger Trump … but he may have to … and then Trump will detonate…
Well of COURSE NOT…that would show a level of grace and acceptance that Trump does not have…and that the Republicans have ‘accepted’. Watch them whine when nobody pays obeisance to THEM…
Trump is going to pardon every person that ever served under him that was convicted of a Federal crime. And probably issue blanket pardons for anyone perceived at risk of post-Presidency charges.
According to the Repugs “logic”, Mitch McTurtle hasn’t been re-elected either, with the rampant voter fraud they’re claiming. Pelosi should take over until they recognize Biden’s win.
In a related development, has anyone noticed how made-up and fake McConnell looks in public appearances now? He looks like an animatronics version of himself with unrealistic heavy makeup over his pale skin. After his discoloration last week I can’t help but wonder if he is ill. It would be rude of me to say I hope so, therefore I won’t.
But there are plenty who will seize upon his actions to move their own plans forward.
Nor am I going to be quite so quick to swallow that particular story line. A number of them have cited “a policy difference” as the reason for their retirement/firing. Yet nobody has offered up specifically what policy difference. And the fact that Trump has reintroduced Nunes’ little pack of traitorous rats back into those positions is deeply troubling.
McConnell is very concerned with Georgia. He wants to know if he is going to be Majority leader or Minority leader before talking to Biden. He wants to know if he can inform Biden that he’ll get absolutely nothing passed in the Senate, or he should just be promising to be sabotaging everything he can and sniping everyday from the minority.
Now, that doesn’t mean he is going to push off this conversation until after the run off elections, but it does mean that right now, he sees it as a coin flip. At some point, probably in the next few weeks, he’ll have a better feel.
