This was the only choice that made sense. Harris should be the successor, and has the best chance given all the political and logistical factors at play to take the fight to Trump. She needs our support and is definitely getting mine, and I’m prepared for nuclear level ugliness and effery coming from those who want the United States of America to become a total neo feudal state. Let them show their full ugliness so it can be further shone against the light of all we hold dear.

I think this is a mistake. We can still win, but America has daddy-issues. I didn’t need Biden to serve his term. Just to win in Nov.

You sure or is that projection? I imagine there will be a lot of that in the days ahead. Besides, that’s what they said about Obama being young, inexperienced and Black, and more of us than them rallied for him, wanted him elected and made it so…and then it became part of our history…This can now be part of our ‘herstory’.

As I noted elsewhere, Joe was never going to get better (healthier).
We are all now relying on Harris aggressively to go after Trump’s lies and idiocy and fascism.

I was talking to my mom last week about the possibility of Biden being forced out. She asked “Who else are they even going to run” and I mentioned Harris and she immediately said “No, she can’t win”. I asked why not and she didn’t even hesitate in saying “Because she’s a woman”. This is a 71 yo white woman and a lifelong Democrat saying this. She will not be alone in thinking this.
EDIT: And now my mom is crying. Fuck these people.
