Democratic president candidate Joe Biden had a reminder for President Donald Trump on Tuesday night after the president bizarrely attacked him during a town hall for not somehow implementing a national mask mandate amid COVID-19.
I didn’t see this but he’s not really getting high marks for this performance. He said the pandemic would go away because of “herd mentality.” It’s becoming ever clearer he can’t exist outside his bubble of unreality. Four years ago, he seemed to understand the principle behind turning an attack back on the attacker. Now he just does it mindlessly, as a pure I’m-rubber-you’re-glue thing. I did wonder whether he could campaign effectively any more but I’m beginning to make up my mind on that.
Um, how come Stephanopoulos didn’t first remind Trump of something every 6 year-old knows: that Trump is president and that Biden currently possesses no official authority to issue orders?
Simply to say that Biden “called on” the governors to do X or Y just plays into Trump’s narrative that Biden was somehow in a position to make X or Y happen.
That’s what they’re going with. But Trump is now saying he’s taking performance enhancing drugs that help him sound coherent and how is that even fair?
That will come in handy any time he’s asked a question by someone not from OANN or ONAN or whatever it is.
