And this is exactly what I would expect of him. That he would reach out to a grieving widow and spend the time it took.
Wish we all had one of these when we collectively slam down the hand piece. That sound is a classic right after a stiff “and a Good Day to you Sir!” Bam!
It’s just surreal that we have a major theme in this election which is what you could call the empathy gap—one candidate who has a lot of it in contrast to another pathologically lacking it nearly entirely. And it continues to be surreal as you go down the list of other things we’re deciding this election on. Do we need a competent person to be president, or not? Should we deal with problems? Have allies? Maintain national security? Uphold our ideals? Govern in the interests of the people? Not allow official corruption? Have impartial justices? Not use the justice system to harass critics and rivals?
I was going to vote for Biden no matter how many laptops Giuliani managed to produce. And no Biden has not been my favorite in any of the many primaries he has participated.
There’s a longstanding tradition of using the FBI, CIA, and various intel and law enforcement agencies to harass and persecute perceived enemies. This didn’t start with Trump.
