Of course he’s also open to choosing a Republican, or so he’s said.
Hell, Comey is both available and in the news now.
“You’re from the Baltimore Sun? I would be open to anybody from The Wire, or any star from this or nearby solar systems.”
Biden is engaging in smart politics.
And he’s promised nothing.
He knows.
I like Beto but he probably disqualified himself with the “Hell yes we’re coming for your guns” episode a few months back.
Amy Klobuchar should be at the top of Biden’s VP short list IMHO…
" Last month, Biden bafflingly told attendees at a town hall event in New Hampshire that he would consider choosing a Republican as a running mate, despite not having a specific person in mind at the time."
Today, in this very article, TPM bafflingly pulled Biden’s statement from last week entirely out of context by failing to include the part of the statement in which he immediately followed up by stating no such Republican exists right now, showing that his entire point was to use the statement TPM took out of context to illustrate just how far down the rabbit hole the GOP has crawled.
O’Rourke and Castro are Texans with high female voter appeal.
Lèse Majesté. Please don’t hold public hearings on security threats because the infantile orange dude with the weird hair in the White House might get mad at us.
I think the other night’s debate illustrated quite plainly that Biden VP is her aim. And I think she’d be a brilliant choice. Klobuchar/Mystery VP is my ideal ticket right now, but that simply ain’t in the cards, so bring on Biden/Klob.
Bingo. Not that I’m plugging for him, but if Beto could win him Texas, well then … . but two white guys? One of whom might keel over at any time? According to my Texas journalist cousin, Castro not in same league as Beto in terms of popularity, sadly.
But Beto, like Castro, is a Texan. When in Texas, drop the name of a Texas politician. Or two.
The only candidates on either side of the aisle who have obvious health problems are Bernie Sanders with his recent cardiac event and the Very Stable Genius who is 201lb and 6’13".
There could be no more important and greater reason to HOLD the hearings. Fuck these punks.
Beto is old news. That fireworks show is over.
Well… for now. Mr. O’Rourke is not an old man, and he has many years, even a generation, to potentially re-invent his brand. But he doesn’t interest me in the 2020 cycle.
Last month, Biden bafflingly told attendees at a town hall event in New Hampshire that he would consider choosing a Republican as a running mate, despite not having a specific person in mind at the time.
Biden has since clarified that remark. He was thinking about Abraham Lincoln.
That “we’re comin’ for your guns” brand is the kind seared in rawhide.
Politics has gotten so fucked up in this nation I don’t actually know if you’re joking.
After all, most people don’t know that Lincoln was a Republican.
