Biden: No Trust For Trump On COVID-19 Vaccine | Talking Points Memo

The Trump administration is placing the COVID-19 vaccine at risk by aligning its release with the campaign calendar, Democratic candidate Joe Biden said in a Wednesday speech.

I was on the inside at Astra Zeneca and still have an inside contact there (he was the guy who got me the gig and I trust him implicitly). Without going into detail, AZ is following all the rules of engagement and hope to re-start their trials soon. They’re not going to violate anything. Period.

Too much is riding on this for their reputation to be destroyed for numbskull.

ā€œI trust vaccines, I trust scientists, but I don’t trust Donald Trump,ā€ Biden added.

Oh, please!

If you can’t trust a guy who wants to inject you with bleach…who can you trust?!

I’d bet that this is true for all the vaccine makers. Trump may want to hurry this along without the proper trials and approvals but these companies have already stated no release until all approvals wrt safety and efficacy are met.

There isn’t going to be anything ready by the election.

Except:

There’s a lot of money for these companies riding on something to be in circulation before November.

There are more than a few companies that are trying to be ā€˜first’ and some may be unscrupulous enough to cut corners.

Biden will put a stop to it, given enough time, and force everyone through the appropriate qualification cycles. But again, only one unscrupulous company could ruin it for all.

I’m sorry if this has been posted on another thread, but Jeezus, this is humiliating.

NEW: Multiple White House staff have tested positive for COVID-19 today. The White House press pool was just informed, but Chief of Staff Mark Meadows is not releasing any further information.

This comes less than 24 hours after international leaders met with President Trump.

This could be amusing, particularly if they bring back Brad Pitt as Dr. Fauci, and Alex Baldwin as Fat Nixon.

Worth it to cause an international incident to get him among the infected?

Can I get back to you?

This could be, you’re right. I know how he feels about Trump.

Now I’m really curious what his Biden will be like.

There maybe a vaccine(s) that get EUA but the public won’t have access to it until the 2nd or 3rd quarter in 2021. I am guessing it is a manufacturing and logistics issue. Redfield’s Senate testimony.

What… again???

How is it that Trump just never seems to get this virus?

I bet it’s because even the virus doesn’t want him.

Donnie’s just up-playing the contagion level. No panic.

edit: The Lincoln Project has a new gem out.

Trump had 4 years to release a healthcare plan, and last night he finally unveiled it.

Dictators tend to be lucky. Think of Hitler surviving that 1944 bombing plot.
