Well, I read the story as amusingly obvious but at least seriously reported on the conflict between the people in the administration who are realistic and the few who remain loons on this and many other subjects. It’s the poor reporter’s job to talk to people there and ask them what they think and write it up. I don’t think it’s insanity. You have to remember all the people out there with only a passing interest in this stuff. It gets them up to speed.
