ETA: Joe was a good athlete in his youth. He was a football star and played baseball too. Everything Trump wishes he’d been.

Biden has a natural warmth, a good sense of humor and a beautiful smile. Those are the things that endear him to people. Trump has none of those things. He is glacially cold, what he usually tries to pass off as humor is actually undiluted cruelty, and his smile almost always looks forced (on those are occasions when he tries it).

Sometimes people cite Godwin’s Law, claiming that the first person to bring up Hitler loses the argument, but that’s not at all how Mike Godwin formulated it.
Godwin’s Law: “As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches certainty.”
In 2015, Goddwin had this to say: “If you’re thoughtful about it and show some real awareness of history, go ahead and refer to Hitler when you talk about Trump, or any other politician.”

Comparing Trump and his ilk to Nazis is sort of like getting into a mud wrestling match with a pig… You end up getting dirty and bruised and the pig likes it.
I’m glad he went there. We must stop pussyfooting around what we are all seeing.

Has anyone else noticed how the Far Right has increased biker violence? There has been another “festival” in Iowa where someone was killed and seven wounded. It’s like all the thugs feel that they can kill even each other and Trump will pardon them.

Concentrate solely on the failed promises and policies: the fact that there will be 250,000 dead from the virus by Nov 3rd, the fact that millions are still out of work, the fact that he is packing the Court with Leo & McCahn’s best right-wing lick-spittles, the fact that he has been attempting to give away millions of acres of public land to well-connected friends and cronies, the fact that he has been running a shell game with emoluments since day one, the fact that four of his last five campaign managers have been criminally indicted and several convicted, the fact that the AG is functioning as an adjunct of his re-election campaign…Do we really need to go on?
That is the only way the Italians were finally able to get rid of Berlusconi after three terms – concentrate on the policies, skewer the failed promises, but ignore the man. Let him stew in his own juices.
Also while you’re at it – get with the Latino vote for godsake, starting with the I-4 corridor in Florida. Thousands of displaced Puerto Ricans from the hurricane – in and around Orlando 400,000 and climbing.
