As the GOP primary begins to take shape, there’s been some questions lately around if and when President Biden will be announcing his bid for the 2024 presidential election.
I like the way Biden is restoring some semblance of majesty to the office of the President of the United States. It is a stark contrast to seeing ‘the former guy’ who had to get his mug in front of the camera almost every damned day to parade his petulance, pettiness, and perfidy. It seems that even some of Donnie’s supporters are sick of his egomania.
Just my own theory, but I think they aren’t tired of his egomania. They’re just tired of the diminishing head-rush returns of his tiny bag of lib-owning tricks. It just doesn’t have the same adrenaline punch the 9,000th time you say “witch hunt” or whatever. They need a higher dosage than he can offer now.
It’s so nice to read about Democrats working on, ya know, government things like the general welfare, etc. Stark contrast with the other side of the aisle and its obsession with insane conspiracy nonsense and now, digging up poor dead Beau Biden to “investigate” him. (those bastards)
Yes, and he’s been harping on the same stupid whine since nearly 2019… how the 2020 election was “rigged” and how he “won biggly”. He needs new material, but doesn’t seem up to finding it anymore.
And we all know – and understand – about the deal with the White House toilets. Apparently, they can’t handle classified as well as the fireplace… Just ask Mark Meadows.
So there I was. In an important meeting or something. And they came to me, looking sad, so sad, and they said, ‘Sir, sir, please, will you run. America needs you.’ And I said, well, I’m just a man. And you know what they said? They said, ‘Sir, with all due respect, you are much more than that.’ Wasn’t that nice? And they’re coming up to me all the time. It’s the most incredible thing.
All he has is the past or, more precisely, past grievances–well, and the promise to exact revenge on his enemies and pardon those convicted (and yet to be convicted) for the insurrection. But even those promises are about looking back. He has no policy, no sense of what would make this country genuinely better for everyone, including those who didn’t vote for him.
This book about trumpet I Alone Can Fix It written by two WaPo reporters who got to know him very well is an eye opener. His last year in office was chaotic, no surprise there, his ego was out of control but he thought he had the magic touch simply by living in the WH and playing golf. His reign, 'scuse me, last term was also seriously damaged by his lack of concern about COVID and suggestions to ingest bleach.
