Former Vice President Joe Biden released a digital ad Wednesday, capitalizing on the viral clip of world leaders mocking the President at the NATO summit in London.
Republicans: “Biden is using the help of foreign leaders to try to win the presidency!!! Get the phone records and emails!!! It’s collusion!!! They’ve been planning this all along!!!”
For all of the (fully earned) criticism about being a gaffemonger in past elections, I’m befuddled by the fact that Joe Biden is the only candidate even remotely focused effectively on the HE IS A WOLF AND HE IS GOING TO EAT YOU angle of this campaign.
Oh my goodness, another day of bickering about which flavor of improved health insurance is icky neoliberalism. BEAT THE INCUMBENT.

Not a good ad theme. This one will not convert anyone and will only rile up the “base”.
Focus on Trump’s poor policies and how they hurt average Americans.
If this ad gains one more solitary vote against Trump –I am all in favor for it. There is no downside to showing how corrosive his presidency has become to our international standing.

MGood ad. I still believe Biden can’t be the best the Democrats can do. And I think the campaign would boil down to a truly rotten-egg throwing contest. Too much machismo on the line.
I think Team Biden is goading Trump.
Trump’s perceived strength is his ability to demean and dominate his opponents.
But in recent cycles, attacking a POTUS candidate where they are strongest has been the winning formula.
Gore went from policy wonk to exaggerating weirdo.
Kerry from war hero Senator to traitor elitist.
McCain from bipartisan maverick to hothead opportunist.
Romney from successful businessman and governor to flip flopping corporate raider.
Hillary from accomplished career stateswoman to corrupt swamp denizen.
It is what Trump is trying to do to Biden - Joe Biden is seen as a good guy Uncle Joe. Trump is trying to turn him into a swamp denizen too.
Team Biden is playing into what everybody secretly fears and knows about Trump - he’s a conman and a joke. Keep at it I say.
tRump is already fuming about this. When he was questioned about the video, he called Trudeau “two-faced,” then he got on Air Force 1 and flew home early like a spoiled child.
Nice ad. Too bad it’s for Biden. I will be happy to vote for him over Trump, but damn, what a wasted opportunity. Imagine getting rid of Trump just to have another senile old man making a fool of himself while not acting decisively on climate and dooming the world.
