WASHINGTON (AP) — Joe Biden attacked President Donald Trump on Saturday over a report that he said, if true, contains a “truly shocking revelation” about the commander in chief and his failure to protect U.S. troops in Afghanistan and stand up to Russia.
Biden called it a “betrayal of the most sacred duty we bear as a nation — to protect and equip our troops when we send them into harm’s way.”

The White House said neither Trump nor Vice President Mike Pence was briefed on such intelligence. “This does not speak to the merit of the alleged intelligence but to the inaccuracy of the New York Times story erroneously suggesting that President Trump was briefed on this matter,” press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said in a statement.

Here are the military servicemen killed last year in Afghanistan. I wonder which one was a deliberate hit.
During the Vietnam was the story was that there were bounties on certain Americans, Carlos Hathcock comes to mind, but these bounties were targeted at specific individuals who were particularly successful in their mission. In this case it is just scalp collecting for cash.
I think when this story gets some wider distribution some vets who wake up saluting will soften their stances.
I’m fairly positive the story is true because McEnany didn’t deny the merits of the story in her defense of Trump and Pence. She simply denied they were read into the situation, which is undoubtedly a damn lie. Based on this alone, Trump must resign.
By the way, was any of this mentioned in Bolton’s book? Or did this not occur in a room where it didn’t happen? I suspect he didn’t bring it up because, otherwise, it would have been the book’s highlight. Another reason not to buy the damn thing.

Republicans have to go on the record here. If they don’t insist on full transparency and investigations, they should be voted out.
Trump, Pence…Grennel…all saying a lot of things. Didn’t know about it. No one told me etc. BUT…none are saying it did not happen. What they’d like us to believe is no one told them this was going on. Doesn’t fit what happened yesterday. The NYT sprung this story with sources from the DIA and other intel agencies. Those guys are loathe to leak and uber loathe to leak to the “liberal media” but it seems they did. There’s only one reason they’d do that. The information was not acted upon within channels so they went out of them. Something had to be done and official channels were not getting it done.
