2020 Democratic candidate Joe Biden attacked a voter during a town hall in Iowa on Thursday after he brought up Biden’s age and his son Hunter’s ties to the Ukrainian gas company Burisma.

Oh, no! A politician calling out someone for spouting republican bullsh*t nad lying about having done so… How uncivil.

Biden sounds a bit like Izzy Mandelbaum there.

No, Biden didn’t “blow up”. He stood up to the questioner who used some right wing talking points to attack Biden and his son. Watch the video. All things considered, his response was pretty measured and perfectly fine. The crowd even booed the questioner and cheered Biden.

On the flip side, had Biden said nothing, the articles would question how Biden can stand up to Trump if he can’t stand up to an Iowa farmer.

Give 'em hell, Joe!

Good for Joe. Don’t punch back ten times harder, challenge the person to do push ups. Looking forward to this if he debates Trump.

Gotta be careful calling people fat. This is America. That fat little girl was me.

Trump will counter with a Big Mac eating challenge … followed by buckets of KFC.

This kind of confrontation will happen again and again, and Joe needs to address the men in a similar fashion, practice what to say to the women, and preface or end each one with “I think we all know why you’re doing this and who you’re blindly following” or something similar.

I was wondering about the crowd reaction. Thanks.

“I’ve seen it on the TV,” the voter responded.

You’ve seen it on the TV,” Biden retorted. “No, I know you do. And by the way, that’s why I’m not sedentary.

Let’s just go ahead with a literal wrasslin’ match between our Donald and their Donald.
I’ll take ours, but still.

As if there’s only one TV … in the house? in the neighborhood?

Well we know it probably only gets the one channel.

“I seen it on the TV…All I do is watch TV."

I think I see the problem, right there.

Good for Joe. He absolutely has every right to stand up for himself against this kind of absolute bullshit and ZERO obligation to do so nicely. I want to see more of this…fire in the belly, belched all over the plants, imbeciles and liars. Good day for the “elderly”: first Nancy smashed Rosen like a frozen turd and then Biden lit this motherfucker on fire like an ISIS execution. Take heed, ageists.

And screw you, TPM, for that headline. If you can’t stand behind a good man and teammate wrongly and viciously maligned and instead have to attempt to take advantage of it for click-bait and/or to help whichever other candidates you support, then you don’t have my respect. Biden didn’t “blow up” at some voter. He justifiably defended himself and his family by expressing the hurt and outrage this bullshit is causing. Stand with him or fuck you.

“And the clicker is busted. So I can’t change the channel. Not that I would. But I can’t.”

Biden’s tough guy act wears a little thin. He didn’t need to challenge the dude to a push up contest, he didn’t have to make a snide remark about how he was not sedentary implying the other quy was and for fuck sake what was the fat comment all about? I know there are a lot of Biden Bros here who aren’t going to look at this incident critically, but I see someone who seems to be trying a little too hard to show his “vitality” and who isn’t very well prepared to handle very valid questions about his son’s position in that oil company. No he didn’t do anything wrong, but it doesn’t look good. He should be able to handle those questions a lot better.

“Lie” is better than “malarkey” on the Strunk&White tite&brite crispness meter.

That dig may be too subtle for the Trump voter.

No idea, but Biden’s response was vintage Nick Bockwinkel
