Nope. All Trump needs to do is not shit his pants live on TV and he’ll at least score a draw.

A draw is a lost for one who is behind.

Looking forward to Trump’s reaction when the lines that do so well for him with the maskless horde fall flat in an auditorium on live TV.

O/T but a fun watch

There has been no portrayal of Trump by any poster highlighting policy, the nation’s actual state of crisis and its many fronts of crisis, empathy, vision, compassion or competence.

OR how/what Trump is going to say in his closing statement.

Only fucking tricks and gimmicks

As if I didn’t already love the guy.

Well, the question is, how many times are they going to try to make a Hunter Biden thing stick, and will they get desperate enough to take a shot at Biden’s dead family members?

I don’t think he can. Trump will spend a good amount of time arguing with Wallace anyway. If Wallace tries to step in and correct Trump, it will just mean more time Trump arguing. And the more time Trump spends engaging with Wallace, the less time Biden is talking.

That’s actually going to be one of the biggest challenges for Biden; getting equal speaking time. Trump will interrupt constantly, both Wallace and Biden.

The other dynamic at play, is that Trump is expecting this to be like a rally, and thus, he is priming himself for receiving a big narcissistic fix. When that doesn’t happen, he will get agitated. That will become more complicated, depending on the questions Wallace asks of course, but pretty much by definition, Trump as the incumbent, is going to to be tasked with defending his term. Trump will hate that, and that will feed into his growing frustration.

Because he has no policy. He never has. And, as I pointed out, being asked to defend his administration is something he views as a direct insult. Trump was never a bright guy to begin with, and he is even more driven by emotional impulses than he was 4 years ago. The “best” he can muster with regards to policy is some catch phrase. And I am skeptical he will even be able to do that with any sort of regularity.

What are the chances of 45 suddenly deciding it’s “rigged” and doing a no-show?

Zero. Not an option when you’re behind.

Or some sort of Presidential Emergency…whose rationale will be blown away by a TrumpTweet about something idiotic 15 minutes later.

That should be the first thing out of Joe’s mouth, some aggressive put down just when they get started. Like, Donald, don’t start with your usual childish name calling tonight, save it for your rallies, we’re here to debate for the American People, our bosses.

Something like that, just right in his face right away. Coz Trump is going to attack and assault and bully Joe like we have never seen before, because the only way Trump wins is if he makes Joe look old and feeble. That’s the debate Trump is going to inflict on us, but if Joe smacks him in the face first, Trump is on the defensive, and Joe needs to keep him there the whole time.

Guaranteed. If nothing else, just to get Joe weepy.

Remember his debates with Paul Ryan? Ryan did not do well. Remember Hillary and Trump? Hillary humiliated the oaf. Unfortunately, either way there’s still a good chance he steals the election.

And Joe should use those words, America Hates Trump, he only cares about himself and the dictates of the rich, what Mitch McConnell tells him to do.

Would you settle for a fooferah and several loads of codswallop?

It’s the ramping down that’s difficult for Spankee.

he came prepared to insult, to bully, to loom over with his presence.

And this is why I somewhat agree with Pelosi here. For far too long Dems have kinda dropped the ball and 'missed’ the point/tactics of republicans in debates. Democrats are trying to present facts and debate issues, while republicans are on stage to present strength. One is a verbal intellectual exorcise, the other is an subconscious emotional appeal. Biden doesn’t just need to have his factual ducks in a row, he also need to counter Trumps body language, his dismissiveness (which signals the other person is lower) and stage dominance.
