Maybe not, but I suspect Biden boaters could have a water parade without swamping half a dozen of their boats.
Biden is expected to answer substantive questions on both foreign and domestic policy, be respectful to not only the audience but the host, do a 90 min town hall vs a 60 min townhall and stick around for an hour longer fielding additional questions and behave as a sane adult. Trump is expected to lie, never speak about policies because he has none, demean the host, screech like a 2 yr. old and refrain from drooling.
They would also wear life jackets aka pfds
If you were looking for material to writhe an op-ed, you would most likely have been watching Trump.
I actually thought this was a great event (Biden’s, at least), and we should do one of these every election cycle. One candidate, one moderator, and a crowd of a dozen. Tape them simultaneously (so one can’t respond to the other), then show them on tape delay one after the other.
A candidate talking to his or her prospective voters rather than trying to yell over the other one on stage.
There really is no point in watching a Trump Town Hall, it’s going into re-runs all day long the next day. Biden on the other hand? We only heard about his Town Hall here after the ratings were out and it could be used to keep things about Trump.
Awesome. A comment like this is one reason I come here so often. I’d love to put that on my bumper or in my yard, but for better or worse I just wasn’t raised that way. This place is the bar on the corner I don’t get to go to these days because of COVID.
Although I bet the clips from the NBC-Trump town hall are getting more airplay today … showing the anger, rage, ignorance, and lying.
And just to ice the cake, from this morning at 538:
He won the ratings because more people were interested in what the next President had to say.
We had live blogging in The Hive.
Always look there for Biden coverage, if you don’t see it on the TPM home page.
While he did accomplish the first four items on the list, he failed to accomplish the last one.
OT but this person was probably encouraged by Trump to go and watch the polls. Glad he was charged.
A Republican poll observer in North Carolina was charged with assault Friday morning after he pushed an election worker who was preventing him from entering an early-voting center in Wake Forest, north of Raleigh. https://t.co/sclUVG6s01

Which is lovely. Even just being competitive is draining GOP coffers in places which should have been safe.
Hard to believe we’re almost down to two weeks to go.
What I like about this is that Trump knows ratings. He loves ratings.
This is the kind of thing that rattles his cage. And the more rattled he is, the crazier his stunts get. And this is in a week that had the unmasking investigation fizzle and the “email” surprise with Hunter get a big shrug and rightful skepticism.
So he’s going to need to improvise. Good.
I only had the video up on donnie as I watched Joe. I noted that he looked upset, annoyed, red and sweaty.
Now I know why, Today I heard many of Savannah’s questions. This also changed my impression of Savannah.
My ballot arrived yesterday and will be completed tonight and in the drop box tomorrow. Yay!

Not that you’re counting.
This nightmare can be over and we can move onto the next nightmare! But then that might be the last nightmare for a while.
