He was the Biden Chief of Staff when Joe was VP.
It’s a good choice - he’s well liked on both sides of the aisle (of course, the other side of the aisle is not quite the same as it used to be).

An excellent choice. Though not surprising as he was Gore’s C of S as well as Biden’s when they were VP’s. Smart, tough, competent and experienced. Or in trump talk overrated.

Obama, Michelle, Kamala, Killer Mike, Bernie, Susan Rice, Booker, Warren, and the Dems’ deep bench of surrogates goes on. Not to mention that both Ossoff and Warnock are absolutely killer campaigners, themselves.
And did y’all see Stacey Abrams on Colbert this past week? That woman is the most important progressive organizer in North America and she might be the only organizer who could make the DNC into an actual fighting force.

That’s why I want her to replace Perez (anyone hear anything out of him in the last six months? Is he still alive???). She could take the party back to the days of Howard Dean, when we actually won stuff and didn’t trip over our own feet.
For me, it would help if they all went, those you named, and did daily meet and greets all over the State for the next couple of months. Gotta get these seats.

And he is gearing up to kill more. I have been told that there are enough responsible whites and POC to fend off the Georgia Branch of the Trump Tribalists (who can be counted upon to vote maniacally and copiously) so as to get Kamala in a position to be the deciding vote in the Senate.
No Democratic vote can be uncast…and to the extent that Obama can assist, that should be a top priority.
And, in terms of “battle plans”, there is no person I have confidence in more than Stacey Abrams.

So let’s ask ourselves what levels of chicanery the GA SoS could possibly go to to keep those folks from voting.
He’s already interfering in the Presidential election by insisting on the hand re-count, which could take weeks (I know from experience) and push the certification well beyond the 20th, when it’s supposed to be in place.

The thing that horrifies me about the Trump voter is this:
Just about everything they are voting against would make their own lives much much better and still they vote in ways that are near robotic.
AGAINST their own interests.
That takes emotion and commitment.

I suspect acting Presidential is the bast way to fight a President that is not. Biden’s not going to get the standard courtesy an incoming POTUS usually gets and that cannot be a surprise to him. Biden’s got 8 years of experience or working up close with the President gig so much of the formality is not needed. National security and foreign policy briefs are going to get to him. Not by Trump but but others who give a shit about America. So let Trump make the fool of himself we know him to be. He was an impotent POTUS and will be an impotent Lame Duck.

** Units like states, counties, municipalities…Trump/Barr/McConnell/Graham are working on the “governing unit” being the entire United States of America.
