The Biden administration has directed immigration enforcement agencies to stop using references to immigrants that were commonplace under the Trump administration, according to the Washington Post on Monday.
Somehow, Iâm not sure the âoldâ terms were what ICE & CPB were actually using. Iâm picturing terms far more appalling and racist in nature were in very common usage.
Oh this is going to go over well. A move toward human dignity. What a concept.

You can bet a bunch of Border Patrol and ICE officers are furious today, simply because their âfreedom of speechâ is being trampled so they canât use derogatory terms towards non-citizens, all of whom they see as enemies (well, maybe not the white ones, after all they are Anglo-SaxonâŚ). This wonât change things among those officers, our best option is to get rid of them and replace them with people who actually believe in the American principle of E Pluribus Unum. The more we get rid of the white supremacists in our national government, the better it will work for all Americans.
So it sounds as if the trump administration officially encouraged the use of the former wordings. Think about that for a moment.
