Best Friday news in a while.

I loved the guy, but he should have run for the senate in Texas again (although M.G. Hager is one hell of a candidate), was rather callow about what was needed to run for president, then ended his bid by making statements “Hell yes, we are coming for your guns”, etc., which will be and have been used by the Pubs to rile up the rubes.

Bye, bye. Now if we can just get Tulsi “Putin’s puppet” Gabbard and Tom “can I buy the election” Steir to go away…

I had and have nothing against the guy, but he wasn’t bringing a ton to the table. “I lost my last election, I should seek even higher office” has, in my opinion, never been a great sales pitch.

You are absolutely correct! I have next to no interest in a candidate who has never held statewide office, and it mystifies me somewhat when others do.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say no. If he hadn’t run for president, he would have had a ton of Democratic goodwill and serious electoral credibility. Now he’s a two-time loser, and the second fail was pretty huge.
