FWIW: I am back stateside for a short trip and will be putting my absentee ballot personally in the ballot box in front of the city clerk’s office just down the street from my dad’s house in northern Michigan.
Visited my cousin in mid-Michigan on the way up. While there are Trump/Dunce signs out, the vast majority are small campaign-handout signs. Almost none of the garish displays of the last cycles — the odd larger homemade sign, the odd billboard type. I’ve been shocked by how little there is.
Lots of Harris/Walz signs — indeed most of the larger signs are for Kamala. Down the street from my dad’s house (they stole his first Harris sign, the second one is there), mostly Harris signs, even in the modest rundown little houses I would swear had Trump signs years back.
On the way from my cousin’s to my dad’s I went through the infamous Antrim County, where the stop the steal weirdness even made it to the news across the Atlantic in 2020/21. Same thing. Weirdly understated in comparison to previous cycles.
I think he should cross off Sidney Powell as his possible defense attorney. I believe that the only appearances she will be involved in are the ones where she is a defendant.
Does she have a law license anywhere other than Texas at this time? Shame on Texas if they have not taken it away.
I’ve been on several juries, in three different states, and when we were actually working in deliberations, we have always gotten lunches. Usually pizza, or sub sandwiches.
ETA: I seem to remember that we got paid for mileage, so a bus pass would make perfect sense, too.
It is a serious character and personality flaw. Whatever traumas he experienced wherever and whenever are his to work out and through. Though, at 79 I doubt that will ever happen. He is too damaged to lead anything let alone an entire nation.
Bit of context here. “March towards the sound of the guns” was a common standing order in many militaries in the pre-electronic age. You’re marching your unit along, heading wherever your (often vague and almost certainly out of date) orders tell you to, when you hear the distant sound of cannon fire. The standing order is to start heading in that direction, because something is going on over there, and you might be able to help out.
So, in that sense, Flynn may simply be saying “we’re going to where the action is”.

Joe should consider:
Direct DOJ to charge any individual deemed interfering in the election-- and have them arrested and held until certification occurs. From Congress, down to local officials, to the domestic terrorists-- who will most certainly crawl from the MAGAt-infested woodwork.
Draft an Executive Order if necessary-- if only to give cover to the LEOs who carry out the actions required to allow an organized counting and certification.
Joe needs to use the Calvinball Rules cheat code in his POTUS-by-SCOTUS gaming console-- if just this once.
Use the present rules flagrantly-- to support a fair election.
Kneecapping GOP ratfuckery-- as soon as it happens.
Would love to see every member of Congress who voted against certification of electors on J6 2021–
advised of their imminent arrest if they do so again-- in advance of this next January 6th.
So, the story is Republican voters and officials are intentionally trying to screw up the election … And their candidate takes no position on their frauds?
