“Factotum.” There goes Barr again, trying to sound all smart.

More accurate is toady, sycophant, footstool, or asshat.

The attorney general, who has been attempting to delegitimize Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe over the past several years, insists in his remarks that his decisions in the aftermath of the probe “have been left to my independent judgment, based on the law and fact, without any direction or interference from the White House or anyone outside the Department.”

Such a goooood puppy!

I’m guessing that he’ll come off as utterly delusional, but we’ll see. The avid Trump supporters will like what he says but their numbers are waning. The rest of the country is more likely to see his delusional ravings for exactly what they are. At least I hope that how it all plays out. Once again, we’ll see.

He deserves to be treated with about as much respect as James O’Keefe and Jacob Wohl.

I want to see him squirm like he would if his proctologist was using a jackhammer during an examination.

“Bogus”? Is that a term of legal art? I’m used to the terms that Dotard uses, like “hoax”, “fake” and so on. But I would expect better from an Attorney General. It sounds as if they got their dialogue from a B crime caper movie.

$20 and a big, wet kiss to the first person on the committee who says, “Before we begin this hearing, Attorney General Barr, we must insist you remove President Trump’s testicles from your mouth so we can hear your testimony clearly.”

Stay on topic and fact check him live. Do not let him dictate the narrative with lies. Be polite but expose the traitor for his unconstitutional actions and his protection of the President and the Republican Party. Use facts. Make him answer questions. When he goes off target, ask him to answer the question with facts.

Will he be under oath? If he lies to Congress, use it to go after him. He is a master at misdirection and obscuration, so the Democrats questioning him need to be sharp and forget sound bites but act as a legal team, build their case, and nail the bastard. He has done tremendous harm too this country’s principles and laws. Be smart.

What would really make my day is if the seargent at arms just arrested the bastard for contempt before he sat down. I mean they have already voted on it and it seems like the best possible way for the house to stop being so neutered in their response.

Is this going to be an open/televised hearing?

Regardless, Dems better come loaded for bear. Nail this motherf***er to the wall.

Of course “bogus” is a perfectly valid legal term. Didn’t you see Keanu Reeves in "Bill and Ted’s Excellent Attorney General"?

The only way they’re going to be able to nail that traitorous hippo to the wall is with railroad spikes.

No, his boss is delusional. He will come off as the arrogant toady he is.

I just have no time for the farce that Barr will make of this hearing. No one’s going to get anything out of him. He’s the unelected head of the government now and what he says, goes.

I may stop in here once in a while throughout the day, but no, I’m not giving this any extended amount of time. We all know already what he’s going to say and, yes, it becomes part of the Congressional record which, some day, might serve as evidence in hearings under the Biden administration, but for today, I just don’t need to hear him lie, cheat, steal, and generally be a totalitarian jackass.

Good on whomever decides to watch this, but I refuse.

Yeah, I don’t think their bullshit is going to work anymore. Enough people have realized how they work, and are on to it.
When the BS stops working, continuing to do it is actually a negative.

Skilled propagandist that he is, Barr will introduce a highly distorted frame to the proceedings before submitting to and evading scrutiny from audit, a replay of his Mueller Report strategy.

Barr is the reincarnation of Roy Cohn. This is how Cohn is described and it fits Barr to a T.

“You knew when you were in Cohn’s presence you were in the presence of pure evil,” said lawyer Victor A. Kovner, who had known him for years. Cohn’s power derived largely from his ability to scare potential adversaries with hollow threats and spurious lawsuits. And the fee he demanded for his services? Ironclad loyalty.
