He is shocked that gambling is going on in this establishment, too.

Appalled that it is under your watch and thus Epstein’s family/estate can sue you/Gov for negligence?

Addendum:
Just an FYI:
Cover-Up General Barr’s father dubiously hired young Epstein yet Cover-Up General Barr refused to recuse himself on the Epstein case. The ties that bind!

Addendum2:
One can only hope that any future perp who has been indicted and is related to Cover-Up General Barr’s boss, his party and Barr himself, will not be affected by the Epstein-Barr virus (and I do not mean the herpes kind)…!

Addendum3
Just an FYI:
The moniker “COVER-UP GENERAL BARR” was coined by New York Times writer William Safire referred to him as “Coverup-General Barr” in 1992 because of his role in burying evidence of then-President George H.W. Bush’s involvement in “Iraqgate” and “Iron-Contra, and NOT for his rank as US AG!

The F.B.I. said it was investigating, and Attorney General William P. Barr said in a statement that a special inquiry would be opened into what had happened. “I was appalled to learn that Jeffrey Epstein was found dead early this morning from an apparent suicide while in federal custody,” Mr. Barr said.

Captain Renault: I am making out the report now. We haven’t quite decided yet whether he committed suicide or died trying to escape.

Just like King David, he was appalled 13 times for the deaths of people that happened to be in his way…

Shyster lawyer mob-boss mouthpiece. Here’s my statement: Fuck you.

Well didn’t Barr said that he liked “Dirty Harry” or “Death Wish” type of justice, obviously someone was listening.

Let me bet, the DOJ is going to sue all the way to the Supreme Court to prevent the names of the responsible people being released, that way we won’t notice when they die in crashes…or shoot themselves 6 times…

Maybe he’s taking lessons from Trump, but “appalled” is a curious word to use for a suicide, even if it was in federal cusody. The way this is worded sounds like he’s acknowledging it may not have been a suicide, which is an odd position for someone in his role to take hours after the death.

reports Saturday indicated that he had been taken off suicide watch before he hanged himself.

No relationship between the two, of course.

“Mr. Epstein’s death raises serious questions that must be answered,” Barr said.

“…like ‘Which Clinton is responsible?’, and ‘Why does the suicide note talk about what a great president we have?’”

Barr also said that he consulted with the Inspector General to widen the investigation into Epstein’s death.

No doubt this “investigation” will conclude with the chant, “lock her up, lock her up”.

If the guy who grievously misrepresented the Mueller Report, turned the DoJ into Trump’s personal attorneys, and is in contempt of Congress thinks he has any credibility, he’s dumber than his boss.

One could be appalled at the tremendous incompetence that would allow this to happen.

Just pointing out that this doesn’t necessarily imply an assumption of shenanigans.

Appalled? Why, because it was such a sloppy job? I guess someone is stopping a check now.

Is it proper for the AG to consult with the IG? Isn’t the IG supposed to be independent?

Also, is it true that Barr’s father was headmaster at Dalton and hired Epstein to his teaching job there? (Despite Epstein’s lack of credentials…)

Of course BarrBarr is appalled. By that interview he did the other day, he’s all for that Dirty Harry/Death Wish-style vigilante justice, and he was getting a hard-on thinking that Epstein would get shivved in prison for being a child molester.

May I inquire what it would take for you to decide that shenanigans should at least be looked into?

Just as a matter of drama, I’d love to be in the room when it was proved to Bill Barr that Trump did it to cover up his rapist past.

Barr issues the statement and probably carried out the order from somebody who also has everything to loose.
Barr quite willingly demonstrated on national media what he is capable of. Makes one wonder what he does in private.

I’ve read that there should be a surveillance tape because of Epstein’s previous “attempt”, but I have no idea if that’s true.
