Attorney General William Barr is expected to defend the aggressive response of federal law enforcement to civil unrest in American cities, saying “violent rioters and anarchists have hijacked legitimate protests” in the aftermath of the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
Bill Barr is an assault on the sensible.
Barr should know. He assaults the Federal government with his corruption on a daily basis.
Come January 21, 2021, is there any way Barr can be prosecuted at the state level?
Challenge his assessments. Do not let him dictate the narrative. Beat him at his own game. Ask about evidence of Russian collusion and make him acknowledge the facts that are public. Force him to recount his efforts, and fact check him live with follow-up questions from the staff. Hold him accountable. If he claims he doesn’t remember, ask him to immediately resign as someone in his position is offered that professional luxury. Rule of law holds, not President Trump’s corruption. Attorney General Barr acts like the President’s consigliere, and that must stop now.
Pelosi told MSNBC Monday that “we hope that he will show up.”
Pretty stupid to release an opening statement and then stiff the committee. Still, stupid is the hallmark of this maladministration.
Ok. Forget calling him factotum. He gets a choice going forward: bootlicking lackey or running dog. His pick.

That’s exactly what I thought about the federal presence in Portland. Gassing and beating your citizens doesn’t exactly live up to the ideals we aspire to in American democracy.
And space.
It’s offensive to read Barr’s statement. He should be arrested on the spot. He is the one who ordered paramilitaries to attack protesters at Lafayette Sq. He is the one who has sent them to Portland to kidnap, beat, gas and shoot protesters. These are clear violations of constitutional rights. Arrest him.
The bland delivery has gotten Barr this far. He hopes the clowns in the GOP House Caucus will help him along–if he shows up.

YES! He’s not a brilliant legal mind, and he’s no savvy strategy guy either. He just lies and runs around covering everything up.
As much as I agree with you, the likelihood of that happening any time soon is somewhere between slim and none.
ETA: even if it could happen, Trump would pardon him immediately.
