And the hits keep coming from this asshole.
“Other than slavery, which was a different kind of restraint, this is the greatest intrusion on civil liberties in American history,”
No…The greatest intrusion on civil liberties is known as Bill Barr.

I have become almost completely numb to assholery. Thanks, Donald! Thanks, Bill!
Also, I have learned to completely let go of people who still support this insane bullshit.
Now if I could just get up off my quarantine ass and clean my garage…
Or as Biden has said, mask wearing is patriotic.
Lincoln project was taken, so Lo Barr has taken on the Goldwater Project@/
Agreed. Prepare for being horrified to extents you never believed possible as the next 60 days pass.
Yes, and it was hidden in everyone’s plain site.
Barr clearly does not understand the concept of “promote the general welfare.”
So how about other federal or state mandates like seat belts, drinking age restrictions, speed limits, the draft. Barr’s philosophy is a formula for anarchy, but I suspect he knows that.
“Gasps in horror”, I think you mean.
Jeez. I wonder who Barr is signaling to?
He’s certainly learned Trump’s favorite trick. They need enthusiasm from the white supremacist base if this election is going to be close enough to to steal.
Not to quibble but were there lockdowns anywhere that actually confined you to your house? There was a period here in PA, in my own region at least, where you weren’t supposed to be out and about if you weren’t going to some sort of essential place like a supermarket, but I don’t believe they tried to enforce it, it was more that it was discouraged if I remember correctly.
“What is wrong with these people?”
… … …
It is the sickness of being power hungry.
The goobers say tgey’re all for individual freedom and total liberty. Don’t believe that for a minute. What they’re obviously after is total dictatorial domination where they get and keep all the marbles so to speak.
So the guy who targeted Seattle’s mayor for political prosecution thinks public-health guidelines in a deadly pandemic are “the greatest intrusion on civil liberties in American history”.
Huh.
True, but all of those same characteristics describe the loyal Trump supporters and though in the high thirties percentage, it is enough to re-elect in the toxic electoral college environment. Enough with the National polls. They mean nothing.
“Post deleted.”
When he first showed on the scene I thought he was the Squealer character from Animal Farm, the articulate one who could explain away every fresh new outrage with some soothing story. But now I’m thinking he’s not too bright, actually, and very crazy, so talking is in fact not his friend.
Slavery is not allowing people to vote, or suppressing the vote, with voter IDs, inconvenient polling places, lack of polling places, fighting voting by mail.
I am going to assume that when Barr used “lockdown” it isn’t really about people staying in their homes, but more about restrictions on businesses like 25-50% capacity limits local administrations have set.
“Other than slavery, which was a different kind of restraint, this is the greatest intrusion on civil liberties in American history,” he continued.
Let’s put Barr in the control group that is actually infected with syphyllis and then monitored as it goes untreated. We’ll see if he changes his mind.
Yes, the charges against him match Trump’s MO. Except now he doesn’t have Michael Cohen to hand out the cash. Oops, I forgot, he doesn’t need cash anymore, just Bill Barr.
