So he’s got a while yet while appeals play out. At least he’s likely to go in before a Republican POTUS can pardon him.

Obviously, I would prefer that Bannon be broken, and incarcerated indefinitely until he agrees to cooperate. Of course, how would that square with the fact that by the end of the January, let’s hope I’m wrong, the January 6th committee committee, will fully exonerate him? The fascists are winning.

This sentence could best be described as a “gross miscarriage of justice.” It also offers more proof that if you’re a rich white Rethugliklan the chances of really being held accountable are slim to none.

I wish Bannon were sentenced for long enough to get the Manafort thousand-yard stare

Is it enough time to have him lose the ever-present smirk on his face?

The minimum was 30 days. The maximum was six months. He got four months. How is this at all a miscarriage of justice? Let’s not forget that he’s still facing charges in NY.

Mr. Weissmann burst that bubble.

Please tell me the judge said “flouting” and that’s a mistranscription.

He’ll make a shitload of money from his gullible followers once he finally serves time. “Oh, look what those corrupt leftist socialists did to me” or something along those lines.

Bannon’s lawyer “The appeal of this case is bullet proof. Mr. Bannon has never been allowed to speak to the reason he did what he did.”

Bannon - “Out of everyone in the entire T**** administration, I testified more than anyone.” blathers on. But - “On November 8, we’re going to have judgment on the illegitimate Biden regime”

And on and on and on…

“The Biden administration ends on November 8. Merrick Garland will be the first Attorney General who is impeached and removed from office.”

The maximum he could get was actually two years and a $200,000 fine. Six months was the sentencing guideline suggested by DOJ.

It wasn’t when Congress passed the statute…

Bannon will consider this a slap on the wrist, and use it to burnish his cred with the stupids.

This is a big reason that no one has confidence in the “rule of law”

The crime has been committed. That cannot be undone, save by presidential pardon.

Meanwhile, the NY case against him will proceed, and he won’t be getting any pardons from Gov. Hochul.

Yes, but there are federal sentencing guidelines and there’s no way any judge would’ve given him the full year, let alone two one-year sentences to run consecutively.
