Bannon Flings Spaghetti At The Wall As He Tries To Wriggle Out Of Contempt Conviction

IMHO Steve Bannon is diabolical AND crazy. I think he has been Trump’s “advisor” since 2015 and continues in that role. It is one depraved person manipulating another. He should be in jail and I hope there are more charges to be filed against him.

Bannon flings spaghetti, peels it off the wall and eats it. Then forgets why he threw it.

So does every Federal Court case end up with the Supreme Court?

Or is it just for Republicans?

Coz I always thought that cases that were reviewed by the Supreme Court were special and really complicated questions of law.

Nothing about Steve Bannon is special, this case sure doesn’t seem overly complex, he ignored a subpoena from Congress because he thinks he’s superior to the rest of us, but he really really isn’t.

But this shit case will get there in a year or so?

That ain’t right.

Very odd argument: My client is a special boy and expected special favors.

“Don’t you know who I am?” says Bannon and demands to speak with the manager.

Well, he did indicate that Bannon would be there…

I don’t have my federal rules book in front of me to confirm, but so far as I can recall, all federal district court cases eventually can end up – speaking subject matter jurisdiction – at SCOTUS.

Let’s call him Karen.

Bannon and Navarro should be cellmates for at least as long as Martha Stewart served.

Can and do. Different results.

Why would this case get that far, just because they can bankroll the appeals?

That doesn’t seem very democratic.

If the advice of counsel could be a defense to compliance with a subpoena, there would be a land office business in “lawyers who will always advise that the subpoena is unconstitutional.” And the bar associations couldn’t disbar the next one fast enough.

Uhhhh, that’s not spaghetti.

Are they going to issue him three orange prison jumpsuits for him to wear simultaneously?

Not that it would legally have any weight - but since it is “contempt” of the House - surprised this session of the House hasn’t barfed out some cockamamie resolution of forgiveness… if for no other reason but to pander to their base.

The appeals process alone is prima facie evidence that the entire US justice system is so horribly rigged in favor of the wealthy and influential that we might as well chisel off that Orwellian slogan on the Supreme Court building about equal justice under law.
