A Chinese billionaire closely tied to Stephen K. Bannon was arrested on Wednesday morning on federal fraud and money laundering charges, Manhattan federal prosecutors said.

So the question is, does he walk out of the courthouse at 5pm arm in arm with his attorneys, or is he remanded into custody. Non-violent first time offender, but something of a flight risk (though he can’t go back to china, they’ll likely execute him).

Bannon, Axios reported, signed a $1 million contract with a Guo firm for “consulting services” in 2019.
Does this mean Bannon now has to look for a new meal ticket? If so, well done, DoJ.

I live in an old mill town in northern New England. Poor and working class folks here have their entire houses decorated with huge Trump flags and billboards, I think in part because he promised not to cut their Social Security and Medicare. The other reason they adore him–as an older White guy I get to hear what they say when they think they’re “safe”–is the crudeness and racism. There is no doubt that these folks are what the carnival workers used to call “marks”, sending their hard-earned or limited money to Trump and other Trumpist grifters.
PS: Kari Lake, the “Governor” of Arizona, also referred to Bannon as “a modern day George Washington”!!!
