Health Secretary Alex Azar put out a strangely fawning statement Thursday morning celebrating President’s Trump’s remarks on coronavirus Wednesday night and praising his move in late January to restrict travel from China.
The WH keeps saying people opposed the prior order on China, but I don’t recall anyone opposing it. There was likely criticism of it being a half-measure but not otherwise.
Are all these adults really that afraid being yelled at? What power does Trump have over them? I’d have told him to pound sand and called a few journalists on the way out.
Blink three times, Alex, if you actually mean “please, let me do my job for just this week or two, this moment is critical, please, God, don’t fire me”
Actually I expect that Azar grasps the gravity of the situation. I expect that he expressed his concerns and was replaced by Ben Carson in the next Briefing as a punishment.
This is Azar towing the line so he can stay in the loop
