Arizona GOP chairwoman Kelli Ward promised to stop Mark Kelly — husband of gunshot victim former Rep. Gabby Giffords (D-AZ) and Senate candidate – “dead in his tracks.”
Anyone else and this would just be tough talk but, Mark Kelly? Yeah that’s just fucked up. That was a mass shooting in AZ, not only was Giffords shot and almost killed but, 6 people died and 15 were wounded by a RWNJ!
time to donate to Kelly. If nothing else, his victory and 2 Dem Senators will make my Trump loving cousins cry next year.
There was a time when conservatives had principles, even in Arizona. Goldwater was one. Now they have reverted to type and the eternal search for an iron-clad justification for selfishness.
“One of your ilk tried that with my wife. He failed to stop her dead, but killed others in the process. It needs to never happen again, which is why we need to have this conversation.”
But look: we’re talking about this. This is how the GOP thinks it remains relevant. The bad news is: we’re talking about this. So how effective was this strategy?
We all know that the American Republican Party has no sense of decency and optics. And in this case they’re letting their NRA showing.
Phrases and words that shouldn’t be used in reference to an opponent who’s spouse was shot.
“Dead in their tracks”
“In the cross hairs”
“Arm yourself with the true facts”
“Target”
“Shoot down”
For someone who’s spouse had been shot and nearly murdered as she was DOING HER JOB representing the people using “dead” is as sane as using the target on Gabby.
