The board of supervisors of Maricopa County, Arizona railed against a review of the county’s 2020 election results ordered by the state Senate during a fiery board meeting Monday.
yup! Follow that link, and then you click on any headline in the list and it opens the comments page for that article, from which you can post a reply.
I pay money for this TPM…
just sayin’
So, as an AZ resident let me say that my state’s Senate is a laughing stock. Or would be if this wasn’t so goddamned serious.
I use this link all the time to just read the articles and comments, but it is currently extra useful since there is apparently a problem where you can’t get to the comments from the article unless someone has replied already. Which you can’t do unless you can get to the comments page. So… this is the workaround.
I also don’t like to “preview” the comments on the article page where you can’t respond. Unless there are a number of comments, you have to find the “continue discussion” at the bottom and then page up to the top of that page to read from the beginning. I want that link always there at the beginning of the comment “preview”.
I’d make a small-to-moderate bet that the stupid S.O.B.s did not use proper forensic procedures when they copied that drive.
Ouchie:
We will not attend your meeting on May 18, 2021.
In your letter, you invite us to attend a meeting at the Arizona State Capitol on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., and you request that we bring Election Department officials who would have knowledge of our elections procedures. We will not be attending. We will not be responding to any additional inquiries from your “auditors”. Their failure to understand basic election processes is an indication you didn’t get the best people to perform in your political theatre. We have wasted enough County resources. People’s tax dollars are real, your “auditors” are not.
Yeah, this is great - I don’t think that most people get this is all Republican on Republican carnage. Let us all pray that it is just a small sign of things to come.
These Republicans that oversee elections in Maricopa County are PISSED!
Another complaint from Fann, alleging that transmission slips accompanying the ballots did not match the actual number of ballots present, was “the result of enlisting auditors who have no experience or background in elections, and failing to understand how to read election transmission slips,” Richer said.
Earlier, Sellers had referred to Fann’s letter as a request to do “on-the-job training” for the Cyber Ninjas auditors. He called the recount a “grift disguised as an audit.” And after Richer finished summarizing the county’s response, the rest of the board of supervisors tee’d off as well.
