Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and several members of the legal team that sought to keep former President Donald Trump in power after he lost the 2020 election were issued subpoenas from a Georgia grand jury on Tuesday.
Now the real pain starts.

So, do Special Grand Juries normally subpoena “targets” in Georgia criminal investigations ? If not, then the name “Trump” is conspicuous by its absence on this list of scofflaws.
I wonder what it’s like in a Georgia state prison for a closeted, gay politician. You don’t think they’ll try to hurt him in there, do you? Asking for a friend.

This case is going to get prosecuted in Fulton County, Georgia. I know that Fulton County votes Democratic, but there must be untold thousands of bitter-ender MAGAts there, too. How likely this case going to produce convictions, versus being hamstrung by Trumpists in the jury pool and who manage to get on the trial jury?
I wonder what kind of privilege Lindsey will try to assert. Maybe there’s a privilege among golf foursomes that he can claim.

The subpoenas went to Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, in addition to Graham. Attorneys who worked on Trump’s effort to subvert the 2020 election, including John Eastman, Kenneth Chesebro, Jenna Ellis, and Cleta Mitchell were also sent the documents.
