Just another bunch of crass Jeebus-humping Bible-thumping grifters.
To be fair, it’s not just this bunch of jeebus-bothering scammers that exploit the GI Bill, it’s also all the other for-profit schools.
And basically all schools rip off all students with insane tuition costs. The GI Bill is a juicy target as it’s so generous and doesn’t come out of the students pockets, so they have less incentive to shop around (though of course the recipients do earn the benefit through their service)
If I had used the GI Bill I would have been given a Donald Trump diploma which means I would have been the same stupid son of a bitch before I wasted space at some collage robbing some deserving
person of an education.
Of course the college made easy money.
Does anyone really want to get on a plane piloted by a Liberty U grad?
It’s like Protestants came full circle and started selling indulgences. Students get the Liberty stamp of Christian approval, without the significant effort of pretending to abstain from sex, drugs, or rock and roll.
Inquiring minds want to know how much of that GI Bill money went into Jerry Jr’s pocket to pay off his Pool Boy Stud!
An airline pilot who believes in the Rapture has got to be pretty callous.
…but the plane will be on autopilot…
Other than “I love Jesus so much”, I see no reason for going to a 4th rate private institution, in a state when there are excellent public universities and numerous decent or better private school. Anyone dumb enough to chose Liberty U, deserves all s/he going to get. Don’t look my way for sympathy.
Well, that gives “meeting Him in the air” a whole new spin, doesn’t it?
Tailspin, that is.
Sorta like Friedrich Alfred Krupp on the Isle of Capri, but you have to change it up so that Adolfo Schiano is there for Frau Krupp instead, while Friedrich Alfred watches.
This helped explain how Liberty, which is a nonprofit organization, managed to pocket $215 million of net income on nearly $1 billion in revenue in 2016
emphasis mine
“Little do they know this causes undue stress in our lives,” he wrote in his complaint, “but I’m sure they do not care because they are only in it for the money.”
A lesson learned too late.
Liberty U is a scam that has no shortage of suckers convinced its legit because they put a cross on the front door. Until evangelicals hold their own accountable, this will continue.
The only question is whether the Federal government will continue to fund it.
ETA – Sorry this is so far OT. I never liked this song until I saw the movie Miss Stevens, where it was perfect.
God is their co-pilot … but is He type-rated?
Y a-t-il un pilote dans l’avion?!?!?!!
Non-profits with lousy governance have even less oversight than for-profit scam educators. And they can spend all that money internally on perks.
Bumper sticker:
“If Jesus is your co-pilot, switch seats.”
I’d trust Jesus to lead my donkey but I’d never trust him flying a plane or driving a car or anything else from this century.
Evangelicals???..accountable??? The two do not compute.
