As The Party Coalesces Around Her, Harris Says She'll Unite Dems In Time For The Fall

In 2023, one of Gov. Josh Shapiro’s (D) closest top aides resigned abruptly weeks after Shapiro’s office agreed to pay $295,000 to settle a sexual harassment case against the staffer

This is a good thing, not bad. Shapiro showed the fucker the door, and the victim was compensated for the harassment.

Is the “back door” thru the Hive?

Our house has 2 front and three back doors… It gets confusing at bed time to be sure they/re locked.

My mom used to always leave a key under Buddha on the back porch, so friends would just let themselves in, make a cup of coffee, and make use of my mom’s library. All the critical theory your little lit-major heart desired, and she would let you smoke on the back porch.

Just recently she stopped leaving the key out for safety reasons, and one of my friends home for the holidays was like what the hell, you’ve met my mother!

Republicans scaremonger about giving Convicted Felons the right to vote, but have no problem with making one the President.

True enough, but just wait 'til they check out the bilge.

Hillary Clinton Pens Essay Urging Support For Harris And A ‘Fresh Start’

I’m sure I’m not the only person who still has a lot of respect for former Secretary Clinton. I still have the selfie I took with my 2016 ballot marked for her. She won the popular vote and should have been President.

I like her up-front nod to Biden’s agonizing choice:

Mr. Biden has done a hard and rare thing. Serving as president was a lifelong dream. And when he finally got there, he was exceptionally good at it. To give that up, to accept that finishing the job meant passing the baton, took real moral clarity. The country mattered more.

I agree, and I’m glad to see it said publicly by someone of Clinton’s stature. Biden has wanted it forever, worked toward it the right way, and was genuinely fantastic at it once he finally got in. But he’s giving it up because it’s the best chance to save the nation.

She offers some advice which bears repeating:

It is a trap to believe that progress is impossible.

the campaign will have to cut through the noise, and all of us as voters must be thoughtful about what we read, believe and share.

The time for hand-wringing is over. Now it’s time to organize, mobilize and win.

I’m with her on this.

Well-stated, sir.

Well yeah – just think of all the ways a felon could harm the nation with voting power, such as voting a bad person into office, or, um… refusing to vote for a good candidate! Maybe that’s the whole list of ways.

But, we can all agree how bad it would be to allow a bad person to get into office, so we can’t let felons get anywhere near ballots in case some of them decide to vote for a bad person instead of a good one. Problem solved!

I forget the rest of your point, but I rest my case.

She will be able to devote more time than Biden could to campaigning for herself and down-ticket Dems. Getting elected is her #1 job.

ETA: But, keep her campaign jet fueled to dash back if needed to break a tie vote in the Senate.

This is sick to a level I can’t describe.

The felon is not really a human. We already knew this, and that it doesn’t matter to the cult. What does matter is that the locomotive that’s getting going for Harris at ground level will blow the cult back into the sewer they came from.

There doesn’t appear to be even one thing, however small, good in Trump. Disgusting through and through.

“The welfare queen trope, most often weaponized against Black, single mothers, stretches back to the 60s, though was famously popularized by Ronald Reagan.

The dogwhistles (bullhorns) are going to be blaring this election.”

Yes indeed dog whistles of all kinds, that champion of states rights, Reagan, who can forget how he campaigned with a states’ rights themed speech near the out of the way town of Philadelphia, Mississippi, where three civil rights workers had been murdered?

At last….maybe the main stream media will cover the accomplishments of the Biden?harris administration now that the “joe is so old” line is irrelevant because they are covering the new shiny object, Kamala, and she keeps giving props too Joe.
