Arpaio Announces Run For Maricopa County Sheriff

Joe Arpaio announced Monday, the same date President Donald Trump pardoned him in 2017, that he would run to be sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona in 2020.

One can only hope that Maricopa County residents are smart and will not be conned again by another of DonTheConā€™s ā€˜friendsā€™!

Older than dirt and as old as Methuselah but nowhere near as righteous. The bumper stickers practically write themselves.

How aboutā€¦ā€œPardons for me but not for thee.ā€

Maricopa county seems to be over him. I doubt that heā€™ll be elected.

In Coconino county out here. My first thought was ā€œbring it.ā€ The state may not have moved as much as people hope, but I donā€™t think it is still at a place where his brand of cruelty will get him the job back. I think he and Trump will be an anchor around McSally. Might end up with her and Arpaio going down. Not confident we wonā€™t still stay with Trump. Will be an interesting test for Kelly ā€œChemTrailā€ Ward who ran against him and McSally in the Senate race last year. Sheā€™s the newly elected head of the state R party. Heā€™s her brand of nuts, but I think it would be unwise for the party to bless him.

They never go away. And it seems some of them will never die. Iā€™m beginning to suspect dark forces at work.

Will Arpaio wear pink underpants outside his suit, superman-style?

Run Joe, run. You know what they say, seventh timeā€™s a charm!

All the AZ Dems have to do is run the cost to Maricopa County for all of Sheriff Joeā€™s shenanigans.

Even with the pardon he still remains convicted on criminal contempt of court. Fact: to accept the pardon he was required to accept the crime. Would be interesting to see a CRIMINAL as the elected sheriff, criminals would be laughing their collective azzes off.

Hey, Joey! Pay up for damage already done!

That is the cost of defending life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Like everything else in the GOP world, Arpaio turns the definition of justice on its head: ā€œFor the law holds, that it is better that ten guilty persons escape, than that one innocent suffer.ā€ - Sir William Blackstone, echoed by Benjamin Franklin.

Arpaio is a gross incompetent. The macho posturing of his never led to effective law enforcement.
Be it unaccounted funds, sitting on hundreds of rape kits, pink underwear stunts, birther loon investigations or needle in the stack racial profiling in the guise of policing. He cost Maricopa county $70 million to settle numerous lawsuits and the now disbanded tent city cost numerous lives. Let him go to a retirement home to sit and grumble in front of the television.

I guess he wants to commit crimes that the next president wonā€™t pardon him for?

Fleecing the rubes for campaign contributions. Same as it ever was. Once he loses, he can fleece 'em again with some stupid victimhood/martyrdom sad story.

Tripling down on an increasingly angry, increasingly isolated 30% of the population is a dumb way to try to actually win an election.

A Vote for Arpaio Is A Vote for Convicted Criminals

Ya know, you donā€™t have to become complete fool when you get old.

There are various forms of ā€˜droolingā€™ and this is one of them.
