Despite a suggestion from President Donald Trump, the Army is not currently investigating Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman for his testimony during the House’s impeachment inquiry.
While I think Cadet Bone Spurs would gleefully like to make Vindman suffer, I think his blathering call for an investigation was intended primarily as a chilling factor for others. Donnie is that vile.

Many Senate Republicans told TPM that they found Trump’s Friday Night Massacre to be reasonable, saying that it’s his prerogative to surround himself with only “loyal” officials.
That’s not the issue, you spineless cowards. He’s punishing someone who responded to a subpoena and testified truthfully about the call.
If Vindman is lying, btw, prove it.

Vindman and his brother are e*ffed and screwed for betraying the Trump Family Organization. I am not sure that the Army is not investigating them.
In this case, I believe what the President said. Government agencies including the military have toed the line on every thing illegal the President Putin-Whore has suggested or asked for on Twitter, in conversations with Hannity and elsewhere. Time will tell. Many of the generals have pledged loyalty to the Trump family organization.
The Vindman will likely end up being court-martialed and seeing the inside of a military paddock.
And Lindsay Graham, that skanky brown-nosing dick sucking whore from South Carolina, will gloat and say how proud he is of the president.

Such a pathetic state the Republican Party is in. Someone with any actual respect would be able to have various points of view but Trump can just seek out those “loyal” to him.
Slavish mentality. There is a major portion of the party now that like that sort of thing. Dominance appeals. I figure there still are some who feel a bit ashamed. Apparently, shaming them doesn’t work too well, but perhaps it will help some to toss that in.

I’d like to know more about this story. It beats most of the others in which Trump is involved.

Anyone who cooperates with the illegal retaliation against congressional witnesses should expect their careers to be cut REAL short. Vindman himself should probably retire and write a book if he wants to make money off this fuckery, otherwise just stay put and train to become a higher level intelligence officer in case the next administration wants an experienced person as national security adviser or other position.
I might also see him as a good pick for the Army’s Designated Agency Ethics Official
LTC Vindman with go before a promotion review board who will first just look at the FITREPS (Fitness Reports) and prioritize by rough numbers and are pretty much anonymous. After that first screen is when names and prior assignments come into play. Promotion to full bird Col isn’t all that easy and the odds are not really that high, depending of the number needed. Depending on his operational tours, the NSC job may or may not have an effect. Depending on the composition of the review board and their political leanings (which are strictly personal) could have an impact - either positive or negative.
In summary, it’s probably a toss up whether his removal from the NSC will impact his promotion. Probably the part that will hurt him the most is the comments made by Fiona Hill about his ability to navigate political issues, if those were part of his FITREP. Bottom line: he/us will never know whether this prevents/helps his promotion chances.
Boy, ya can’t trust anybody. 
The largely GOP KKKult military doesn’t have to overtly punish him, just deny him promotions that are his due, etc. And they will. They will also socially ostracize him. He’s done. He’ll probably seek an honorable discharge within the next year or so, knowing that staying is just banging his head on a glass ceiling while people treat him like shit.
And the military and law enforcement in this country have gotten their “taste.” They will NOT want to get sober. Even if we win the WH, they are now primed to ignore, disobey and sabotage a Dem POTUS as much as they can get away with it while the GOP and conservative judges help protect them and enable them.
Vindman is pretty much guaranteed a retirement as a field grade officer unless UCMJ issues arise (not likely). Given his experience and language skills, he will have lots of lucrative opportunities. Doesn’t abrogate what he has gone through.

And let’s not forget about Vindman’s twin brother. What will happen to his career?

As a JAG officer, he lands on his feet both ways. Promotion in the Army JAG Corps or civilian practice involving military issues as a specialty. And, as an aside, he is already better and more reputable than Ms. Lindsey the Air Farce JAG officer (ret).
