Do you think???
Holly Dickson, the executive director of the ACLU of Arkansas, said in a statement that the jail’s use of Ivermectin “illustrates the larger systemic problem of mistreatment of detainees and over incarceration in Arkansas that has persisted — even in the midst of a pandemic.”

Oh My … a Hillsdale grad … say no more …

Rob Karas, MD

Dr. Rob grew up in a small town outside of Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He spent his youth playing sports and hunting with his brothers. He graduated from Hillsdale College in Michigan with a double major in German and Finance. After Graduating, he volunteered for 18 months teaching English in Thailand for the government school systems. While working as a volunteer, he changed his career choice from business to health-care.

He graduated from medical school at Indiana University in 1998 and then completed a 3 year residency in Family Medicine. After residency, Dr. Rob worked more than 5 years in a busy emergency room where he served as Director of the ER. He and his family moved to Arkansas to be closer to his wife’s family in 2000. He initially worked in the emergency rooms at Washington Regional, St Edwards and St Mary’s since moving to Arkansas.

In October 2008 he opened his first walk in clinic in Lowell and the Fayetteville clinic opened in 2012. In 2015 he changed the name from Karas Urgent Care to Karas Health Care, as the clinic became the Health Care primary care provider for most of our patients. In 2016 Karas Health Care took over the contract for medical services of the Washington County Detention Center and now have over 30 full time employees.

Initially Dr. Rob’s goal with medicine was to be a missionary doctor overseas. However, that has evolved into a two-fold mission right here, 1) Taking care of patients like they are family and 2) creating a joyful work environment by taking care of his own coworkers like family and knowing that by taking good care of our coworkers, we are taking the best possible care of our patients.

Absolutely! The Medical Board needs to get on this ASAP.

Also the grammar police:

“I got experience and don’t really need more studies,” he wrote, after referring to studies of the drug’s use on COVID patients. “

That’s who is in the jail, not who is in the “experiment.”
