Arizona Sheriff Tests Positive For COVID After Refusing To Enforce State’s Stay-At-Home Order

Arizona Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb, who ignored Gov. Doug Ducey (R)’s stay-at-home order, announced on Wednesday that he had tested positive for COVID-19 right before his scheduled meeting with President Donald Trump the day before.

His comments prove too much. Cops as a
class view “risk” only as it relates to their own exposure. This dweeb says it out loud. It’s the risk you pose to the people you are charged with serving and protecting , moron, not the other way around.

“Unfortunately, as a law enforcement official and elected leader, we do not have the luxury of staying home. This line of work is inherently dangerous, and that is a risk we take when we sign up for the job,” he wrote. “Today, that risk is the COVID-19 virus.”

By “this line of work” he must mean “living in Pinal County with a troglodyte motherfucker for a sheriff.” Although the people who elected him will probably do so again; assuming he survives.

Dammit. Got my hopes up it was Arpaio. Dirty pool.

Good thing they caught that hoax before Donnie got a whiff.

“On Tuesday, I was called to join the President at the White House. As is protocol, all visitors are screened for the virus,”

Rats! This damn close.

For some folks it takes a “whup upside the head” to get thru to them. Lamb blabbers about Constitutional rights… all the while shedding virus all over his office. It’s painfully obvious he does not even yet grasp the danger he has put others in. He frets about masks as if they are some sort of invasion of privacy when in truth it’s looking out for others.

10s of thousands of good people died from this virus because of Trump’s lies and inability to lead. This asshole, who probably caused a couple virus deaths all on his lonesome, is going to be just fine. Maybe the coronavirus IS a bio weapon, aimed not at countries, but at Justice.

A risk most LEOs with common sense managed to avoid.
Shame that so many others had to get what you deserve.

How many people will he and his campaign event end up infecting? They should release that number after all the contact tracing.

Either way, where do I send the tots and pears for them?

““I think people want to know that we’re going to support their constitutional rights,” he said in May, arguing that Arizona’s COVID-19 death toll of over 300 at that point was “not a significant enough number to continue to ruin the economy.””

Busybody sheriffs becoming back-alley macroeconomists are even worse than all the twitter constitutional scholars and twitter virologists out there these days

As an Arizonan, I can tell you that Pinal County probably has the sheriff they deserve. His big stand against Ducey was a complete crock as Ducey’s orders were so watered down and ineffectual, and removed so soon, that they might as well have been suggestions out of a fortune cookie. I cannot think of one single instance where any restrictions were actually enforced as I believe the original order said something to the effect that we would not actually be enforcing or questioning anything we see any idiots doing.

As a result, wearing a mask in AZ has been a political prop almost from the start. Now it is more of an IQ test.

You know how they could have reduced that risk? By enforcing the stay at home order.
Part of being a law enforcement official is reducing the overall risk for your constituents, and he didn’t bother to do that either.
But it is funny that he didn’t get to be in the presence of his Lord and Master.

As I’ve said before, the stoopid is really going to hurt this time.
Let’s see how trump rally attendees feel in 3 or 4 weeks. He’s had a series of serious defeats in the past two weeks and you know he’s itching to get back in front of his rabid base. It’s been too long without the cheers and chants. Too much negative press. Once he gets his rally fix there’ll be no stopping him. He’ll schedule rallies in every red state in the country. I wonder how long before his followers realize that Dear Leader is killing them - and their families.
