“My intent was not to offend the residents of Arizona, but I see the effect was different and I am recognizing that,” she wrote.

Another “non-apology” apology.

Allen, a Snowflake [, AZ] resident who represents a legislative district comprising parts of Coconino, Gila, Yavapai, and Navajo counties, raised alarm over the declining birth rates of whites in the United States.

Irony: still dead

Something that has struck me about AZ GOPers is how consistently ignorant and/or unappreciative of their state’s history and demographics they are.

Here’s another instance of that.

The United States IS a south American country, Ms. Allen.

Just ask Canada.

Arizona having been notably caucasian for all of human history until the Messicans showed up

Politically we look like a banana republic, at least currently, so I guess she’s partially right.

Blacks have tried to assimilate to America for hundreds of years.

Jesse Owens wrote an impassioned plea to America in a major magazine in the Post WWII era…about assimilation.

What was it that Jesse Jackson said?

“It’s Us, not the Bus”.

Being a NorthWestern European has its perks. Ask people like Raymond Burr, David Frost, Cary Grant, etc. And the folks from Normay…

Dollars to doughnuts Allen has never even set foot anywhere south of Nogales, much less Panama.

Me. too!

Whenever I end up with honky white skin on my chicken I just stick it under the broiler for a few minutes until crispy!

Yep…Global Browning is the only thing they consider an existential threat requiring all hands on deck and no holds barred to fight it.

And her face is looking like the roadmap to get to one. Always amazes me how downright disgustingly racist some women can be. I always feel like there’s something incongruous about it that isn’t present when it’s a man acting that way…like I expect it from some men and the racism is part of toxic masculinity, but it’s not…the women can be just as bad of course.

Twould be a shame if she discovered Arizona is derived from Arizonac, from the O’odham name alĭ ṣonak, further threatening the preferred pigment of her state.

Well, Arizona - you know what to do - the next election should be her last and final. Her opponent ought to be able to make a very nice commercial on that soundbite.

“My intent was not to offend the White residents of Arizona, but I see the effect was different on the Brown ones and I am recognizing that,” she wrote.

It’s my understanding that AZ has a large share of older, White retirees from other States. These old, White racists have escaped the brown hordes in other places hoping to spend their last years in a warm enclave with those just like them. So, yeah - she knows her audience.

So what was the way it was intended? Damned if I can find a positive spin on this overtly bigoted statement.

If there are too many taco trucks on every corner, please send them my way.

Maybe Arizona could send a few more brown people to Washington, DC, and bring a few of the whites representing the state in Washington back to Arizona?

That would help, right?

Nogales? She won’t even go to Tucson. Too, ummm, “brown” for her.
